...the SEC tries to enact some form of punishment on LSU and CLK and LSU says "hell naw, brother"?
We're in unprecedented territory here but I'd kinda love to see it play out.

What could they punish us for? We haven't done anything wrong.
The SEC told us that we couldn't add the two players to the roster. We complied.

But that really is not enough. Donde Plowman needs to be shown a new reality. I really think, unless Jorden, or someone, reaches out and touches her, she is going for the nuclear option with the conference, if not on this, then on something else.

Rousse set the tone and narrative yesterday with the moot letter. I’d be extremely surprised if a suspension occurred.
The SEC bylaws state a coach must violate an NCAA or SEC rule to get a suspension. What rule are they going to say he violated?

We do know that at least one of the Ole Miss players enrolled in LSU and was practicing and Lane said he got approval from the SEC office to do so
So they may not have liked that posting, but that did happen
So I don’t know anything other than Lane certainly had the intent to position LSU so that they could add them and that was very clear
When they got the injunction to play football, that’s when the SEC announced stiff penalties if a university were to play them
And that’s when LSU backed off
And we know the noise from the Louisiana AGNDA and local attorneys basically said that was an unlawful move by the SEC to come out with such stiff penalties against the university because it essentially hurts the player even though they’re trying to say they’re not stopping the injunction, but they in fact absolutely were
So the Louisiana people were pretty hot on the collar, even calling the commissioner acting like God
So you have all these comments in the press against the SEC commissioner, challenging, his authority, blah, blah, blah blah
So I think it has just a lot to do with people from Louisiana fighting for the student athletes which appears to be fighting for LSU, but from a legal standpoint that is absolutely untrue
And so I think the SEC commissioner should be careful about his next step as they already suggested that many students will be suing the SEC in the future and will likely win their cases
If they harm LSU or expel LSU that means it will impact every student athlete with an NIL contract, causing harm to their contracts and that’s going to be quite the mess
So they’re not talking about expelling, but they’re talking about penalties and that all just needs to go away real quick
