What happened with Ika?

I thought I remember coach O mentioning sometime in the summer that he was doing outstanding and had a really good chance to start. Why have we barely seen him this year even with our injuries on the D line?

Yeah let’s do this where we have a bunch of internet geniuses start making shite up about a true freshman. He has older guys in front of him right now but his time will come. Shelvins been outstanding and Fehoko has been sliding to nose as the 2nd teamer when T needs a breather.
Let’s just not do this dumb shite where we take shots at the kid like I’ve seen the rant do with Jacoby Stevens and Austin Deculus. Give the kid a chance.

People are doing that, the fact that his name keeps being brought up is indicative of that. He apparently got hurt in a game. That's all anyone really knows.
He has others in front of him in the depth list, as you said, so that gives him time to heal from whatever injury he has.

Injuries have been at defensive end and he plays the nose behind Shelvin who has played great so far this season. He has played and hasn’t been bad he’s just a backup. He’s only a freshman playing a position that is not easy for a freshman to play.

I hear you but that isnt going to happen here. There is always at least one person in every single thread about a player who does exactly what you are describing. Then they blame the coach for recruiting, then the strength coach when a freshman doesn't immediately start over a Senior, then the coordinator because he has the best player on the bench for some inexplicable reason. It happens every thread without fail and as sure as the sun will rise in a couple of hours.

He has been injured. He will rotate back into playing time as he gets well. We need with our big boy schedule coming.

He passed conditioning so he wasn't out of shape. He was injured and Shelvin is playing well. Ika looked good when he was in games he played.
