I love that we are outperforming expectations for the year and the chicken littles are still out in full force.

Although his post is retarded and I'm not coming for his aid, Duke did just win a national championship a little over a year ago

And fell out of the top 25 during this past season. I think this strengthens the argument here that the top teams, regardless of the sport, have rebuilding years.

LSU mostly bought six team regionals back in the 80's and 90's. Getting to Omaha was easier because the Tigers played at Alex Box most seasons. Hell of a home field advantage. There were no SR.

This is not.

I think he's referring to the practice then of awarding regional sites based on attendance/payout, not merit on the field - I don't recall the specifics or if we would have been selected regardless. Others can elucidate.

Because they had coaches that weren't up to the task. And why have they won 4 since 2009? I assume to the sunshine pumpers it's because there's a lot less parity in college football since 2009.

So had Alabama football lost 19 of their starting 22 last year, and the NCAA had limited their roster size to 31 players to be able to fill those rolls, you think they would be contending at a top level year in an year out?

Those numbers are a general equivalent to losing 8 out of nine everyday starters, and having only 17 out of 34 players (not counting pitchers)to replace them with.
