You should read more posts then. Some of the hardliners are still saying, "Let's not get excited over this win over an overrated Bama team." Unfreakinbelieveable. However, I am happy to have you back on board, BB

my first thread after the win was about Lee's awful throwing motion on that one play when the annoucers replayed it in slow mo and talked about it.

I didnt post that becuase i was looking for sometinhg to bitch about, but becuase it really stood out... it was that bad.

I got roasted on here. "How dare you say anything critical of anyone after we just won!"

Seriously though, his throwing motion is either perfect, or awful. when he steps in to a throw, its usually money. When he spins off his back foot and short-arms it, God help us.

I don't disagree with that. A little ticky-tack, but we can still be supportive and point out the little things. I thought the OL blocking (before and after the injuries) was spotty, especially up the middle. Receivers still dropping balls. I thought out kick coverage took a little step back (but after Auburn, no LSU kicking/punting performance is going to compare). No game is perfect. We spotted tOSU 10 points remember?

A poster who I have now completely written off (shouldn't be hard to figure out, his post count is in the millions) was denigrating the win in the hours immediately after, predicting that Bama would collapse and somehow soil our moment of triumph. A truly miserable bastard...

You, however, seem to be a rational "Nega". Again, glad to have you back on board.

Never jumped overboard to begin with.

If we play that cleanly at Auburn, we're undefeated.

better late than never i suppose.

Wow I really like the word douche and all the various ways the word can be contorted! I am going to have to step my game up.

You did however, take 3 of those from the same thread with me having a discussion with jackson123, who is argueably probably the most negative poster on TD.

They're secretly rooting against the team (especially the Sabanistas) so that they won't be wrong.
If you honestly believe this you are really quite delusional.

Like Saban? Or like Miles?

Certainly Dinardo didn't "ruin" LSU - he didn't take us where we needed to be, but he definitely turned around the Hallman situation from an F to a C+ (or maybe, at the time a B -).

I didn't root against the team, even when Curley was coaching, but I knew early on he had to go.

I guess we just agree to disagree. I will never root against the team to get another coach. Never. Never ever.

You're right. The attitude of Negatigers has changed.
You know what else has changed? The way the team played.

Funny how that happens.

I don't hate either, but Miles is not my cup of tea.

I hated Curley, and Dinardo was cool with me up until the last year and then I think I hated him in the end.

Fair enough.

But this isn't even the argument. I root for the team always, but strongly disagree with the philosophy and methods of the head coach.

Because the Rant is overrun with sunshine pumpers now.

Have you seen all the threads assuming LSU will win out and return the BCS title game.

I'm still worried about being Ole Miss and ULM. Even more so now. We have to stay focused on the next game on the schedule. We played one great half on offense. Mistake free. Our defense kept us in the game. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

One game at a time, people.

And that's fair - I am assuming we win out, only for BCS purposes.

Obviously we can. We will defeat UL-M and be favored over Ole Miss at home. Should we win that game (and assuming Auburn hasn't lost either) we will be second in the computers and possibly 3rd or 4th in the human polls going to Little Rock. However, to blithely assume we beat Ole Miss or Arkansas, simply because we've already beaten Florida and Bama - we beat 3/4 in 2007 (and Ole Miss and Florida were particularly better then but lost to both Kentucky and Arkansas) is to ignore history and the challenge of our final SEC games.

A RealiTiger is the only way to be.

And as a fan who's been watching LSU football since the early 80s -- both as a Baton Rouge native and resident and as a student and alumnus, I've seen a lot of Tiger teams get their comeuppance and a lot of Tiger teams shock the doubters. Yesterday was the latter but I always fear the former.

So let's enjoy the now and hope the Tigers take care of business the next couple weeks. Regardless of what Auburn does or doesn't do. We gotta take care of business one game at a time.

Seriously? The team played well and was very prepared. Miles also coached an excellent game.

However I can't ignore all the stupid shite that was. People had a right to doubt and be pissed, just like they have a right to be happy now.

Cut the sunshine pumper / negatiger crap. It's played out.

Winning solves everything. A legitimate win against a good team where the head coach, offensive coordinator and starting QB all perform up to expectations are all that we ask. It's only one game though and I hope that some streak of consistentcy is shown with an expected blowout of Northeast La.Univ, (UL-M ) then at least a 2-3 TD win over the Black Bears, followed by a victory (by ANY amount) against R-Kansas in Little Rock. (Will be the toughest game of the year)

If the Tigers slip up and lose any of those games, the Negs will be back in full force.

BTW, I picked Alabama to win the game 27-16 over on the SEC Rant.........

All the sunshine pumpers are out in force now. What happens if we lose to Ole Miss?
