The kid was an absolute stud coming out of high school, and looked good in limited action over the past few seasons. Now he seems to completely buried on the depth chart. I thought for sure that he'd get his chance following the Todd Harris injury, but coach O said yesterday we will be relying on Kary Vincent to Kenan Jones to help fill that void. Does anybody know what happened with Monroe?

Well Cam Lewis went in first, so you figure it out.

I heard Jordy say that he can’t stay healthy, but I thought he looked healthy Saturday. Weird situation.

Sometimes they just don't work out as planned. I do know they are very high on K. Jones. Kid has the build and athletic ability. The game needs to slow down for him.

I thought he looked great in limited action 2 years ago. He got injured last year, and now he has just completely disappeared. I don't see how he hasn't gotten another chance at safety with all of the injuries we've had.

Hasn't he been fighting injuries? Maybe that's why

Sometimes guys get hurt and are never quite the same. Hopefully this won't apply to Monroe.. it would be a great story if he can step up and have an impact.

it's weird that we're relying on our sophomore WR converted safety over a senior former big time recruit

Eric Monroe returned to practice on Tuesday ( The Advocate).

quote:

Wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Trey Palmer also returned after missing Monday's viewing, plus safety Eric Monroe, outside linebacker Soni Fonua and offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell.

Maurice Hampton will be getting the nod to start at Safety, and will see his first action of the season while preserving his redshirt ( Geaux247).

With Delpit out, it opens the door for true freshman Maurice Hampton to make his first career start for the Tigers.
