Not a god damn thing

Yet everyone, including les, is dead set on getting Jefferson some time. Like he's some elite playmaker that you just have to get on the field. He's not cam newton, he's not Ryan perrilloux, he's not Robert griffin.

He's Jordan Jefferson people

Of course he is. And that poor old dumb Les Miles can't see it. But you, YOU being the all seeing, all knowing football guru that you are came in here to tell is that.

We are forever in your debt.

Nothing is wrong with the offense right now--if it's not broken, don't try to fix it.

I think JJ should be the #3 QB & had looked forward to seeing Mett play a lot tomorrow vs. Kentucky. But Miles seems to like JJ for some strange reason so much, so we may see him despite limited practice time.

Recievers need to catch the ball when it hits them in the numbers, or the hands. They dont have a whole lot to worry about, run the route, catch the ball.

As long as the offense keeps putting up more points than the other teams', cant complain. The defense has been giving the offense great opportunities, and theres no sign of that stopping.

There's no indication that this is the case.

What receiver in his right mind would prefer to have Jefferson under center?

Ask Terrance Tolliver, Brandon Lafell, or any of the talented receivers whose draft status took a big hit because we had a QB who couldn't get them the ball.

In order to beat the top teams, LSU has to have a legitimate passing threat. Thus far, nobody we've played has been able to stop the run successfully, but eventually we'll play a team that can. Our offense is moving the ball and, more importantly, they are staying on the field long enough to give the defense a break. With Jefferson under center, there are way too many 3 and outs.

Dude we get it. Does it really bother you that much when a fan says "we" when referring to a team?

Jefferson gives the offense another threat. There's nothing wrong with having a dual threat QB inserted in certain situations. We will need everything we have to beat Bama in Bama. Just because it ain't broke, doesnt mean it can't get better.

I just know I will blow a gasket as that one guy says, if Jefferson comes in the game when the game is still close, at the beginning of the game or if Kentucky is within 3 TD's I will be pissed and sad for LSU football for not honoring the merits of other players (Jarrett Lee).

Russell Wilson didn't have much practice time with Wisconsin...Just playing Devil's advocate.

I love how the thread asks a specific loaded question, yet when a good point is made, it is ignored. All of the pointless comments are repeated and exacerbated.

Partly true. He only dropped seven steps, but his strides were way too fricking long. He was constantly on the backside of the pocket which allowed DEs a straight shot at him. This was a big reason for the high number of sacks in 2009.

Obviously, that's on him.

That being said, how in the hell are we paying a OC/QB coach $600,000 a year to not recognize this problem? Fans could see it from the stands, yet Crowton didn't.

And it was obviously correctable, because Jefferson's drop changed over the offseason.

I was making this exact point yesterday. This kind of crap I talk about when I ridicule Crowton. How does something like this go uncorrected for over a year?

I'm not taking your bait

It's a well known fact you blindly support any and all decisions, no matter how suspect they are, and you're a moron

Nice try though

You'd think putting up 40+ points in 3 out of 4 games most people would saying nothing really

Why do people so quickly jump to the conclusion that Miles just irrationally "likes" some players for reasons completely unrelated to whether he thinks they'll help us win. I saw these kinds of posts with Keiland Williams, with Michael Ford, now with Jefferson. If the rant's favorite player isn't getting enough PT it's because Miles is, what, in love with the other guy?

Most of those would be on the D side of the ball. You won't hear RR or ODB saying that, I can guarantee you. JL could be worth a lot of money for RR depending on how this year plays out.....RR was good last year...JJ could really never get him the ball consistently (or any other rec for that matter).

disagree whole-heartedly re: 2009. Go back and watch the tape. JJ consistently drops 9 steps on a play intended for 7 steps. The pocket sets up perfectly, but the combination of poor footwork and him holding onto the ball means that he's in the direct path of the edge rusher & creates the protection issue ENTIRELY on his own.

You can see it over and over again.

JJ made the OL look much worse than it was. Time his snap-to-get-the-ball-out and then look at his footwork on his medium-deep drops compared to where the OL is setting the edge on the pass-pro.

JJ's way worse than you're giving him credit for, and you're underselling our OL.

You are absolutely 100% correct...

I said "we" when I was talking to about our defense to one of our DL freshman on Wednesday. As soon as I said it, I thought I should have said y'all, but he didn't even bat an eye.
