technically, nothing is going on. the administration and AD have said nothing.

all there is is innuendo and rumor. and of course this team crapping the bed for three straight games.

everyone is getting all excited about nothing.

once the rumor starts and gains legs because of the immense dissatisfaction in the fan base with the les miles decline, what exactly would you have the administration do? even if they all come out and swore on their mother's lives that they loved les miles and he was here for the duration with full support, would that make any difference? NO it would not.

Nothing will happen nor can happen until this season is over.

I have to admit, it is kinda fun, but I for one am not going to invest any emotional energy in it.

Nothing is being handled poorly.

What we have here is a bunch of ninnies who have nothing better to do than wring their hands and claim how "embarrassed" they are over what they imagine is going on.

That's the perception for whatever reason. No one knows exactly what is going on behind closed doors, and no one knows how many details have to be ironed out before public announcements can be made.

The problem is the "everything can be done with one click" crowd. You want a song? Click this button. You want to buy a sofa online? Click this button. You want to fly to New Zealand? Click this button. That's not how you hire/fire coaches and the fans want it resolved with one click.

What bothers me is the statement that $15,000 to buy out Miles is no problem when the University has had major financial cutbacks in the educational side.

miles worshippers refuse to blame him for LSU's issues. the big mean AD is an easier person to target. joe is just doing his job and looking out for LSU's best interests...just like when miles looked out for himself by threatening to go to arkansas.

In their defense, there is no way that firing Miles could have been handled to suit their taste. They say he deserves one more year, but if LSU had publicly announced Miles was on the hot seat for next year (or even before this season) then the indignant howls of injustice and embarrassment would be exactly the same.
