I mean he has all the arm in the world but he's a turnover king which can cost you games

It means he wants to win a ring, like he explicitly said.

Nuss coming off the bench

If JD is the starter for LSU next year, Nuss will not be coming off the LSU bench. He will come off another bench or be starting somewhere else.

JD needs to go pro as a wr just like Juan Jennings from Tennessee. Very productive receiver

I love how you guys say this. He has never really been the man, only came in for short periods. This is just stupid. He is a fkn freshman, and already sees the field, goes through progressions, and much better arm than JD. I hope JD makes it I really do, but Nuss is a brett favre...watch.

We’ve had Andrew Hatch and Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings start games at QB for LSU in recent memory and people are actively rooting for Jayden Daniels to leave.

Simpletons.

Don't think it means anything concerning another player. I think Boutte made best decision he thought was good for him.

Having a qb that can pass, with our much improved and talented OL, and great receivers, would most definitely be best for the program. If we don't have someone that can utilize the talent, it is a complete waste much like the years with Les Miles. Take that however you want. If you think 5th year started JD is suddenly going to be able to read a defense, see his receivers breaking open, and throw it down the field accurately, so be it.

Agreed. I don’t think this decision has anything to do with Daniels.

Maybe you don't remember, but Boutte wanted Nuss. Looking at his numbers for the year, I can understand why. Having seen Nuss Saturday, you could see the pep in the step of the offense.

Wonder if Boutte got a draft grade not in the first round.

If he did and actually believed it, he is smarter than many of the players who have left early.

Turnovers don’t matter when you’re passing the ball downfield

If that were the only competition, I'd take JD all day long. Luckily, we have a much better qb room now. You guys can't seem to understand we don't dislike JD, but we have some amazing talent at wr and will now have a great OL. We need someone who can utilize that talent, not run first and occassionally throw a 5-7 yard pass. Who do you think the receivers want to be qb? Serious question.

You don't know what's going to happen. He has never really started or played many games. Usually coming in and he was trying to make plays. He is MUCH more talented than JD and that's not even up for debate. He has a dad that's an NFL QB coach, you think that hurts. He will make some mistakes as he learns, but he has the arm to overcome that and will only get better and better with experience. Hell he almost got us back in the game against Ga. I sure as hell don't want him playing against us in the SEC. Had an Alabama graduate call me today hoping they could get him in the portal.
