It means it is unusually cold out there for the last two game. Batters do better in the warmth of summer.
Besides, other than stranding baserunners, I think the batting has been pretty good. I don't have the team's cumulative batting averages for the two games, but I'd bet it's .333 or better.

BTW, I had to look up who Emma Watson is. I thought she was that skinny, awkward English waif in the Harry Potter series and I was right! Unless she has somehow morphed into some kind of gorgeous sex goddess, I'd have to rate her a 5.
