St. Johns blows this season. I haven't followed them so I don't know the situation around them sucking but at the moment Lavin seems like a one hit wonder there when he jumped back in the game.

Because he had like eight seniors on last year's team. Hard to not be successful to any degree when you have that working in your favor.

We were fricking awesome in 2009. Our problem was we didn't have a big man.

Lavin obviously sucks if he can't win with God'sgift and Sir'Dominic

I still wouldn't really want Johnny Jones.

Hell no I don't want Johnny Jones. We talk about expectations for basketball needing to be higher, and then in the same breath people post they want Johnny Jones? Nothing says mediocrity more to me than a middling North Texas hire because he played and coached here years ago.

Yet people here wanted Trent gone in his second season when Temple, Thornton, and Johnson left.

Not saying it's right, but fans are stupid.

He didn't really win all that much last season either. Just played up or down to the competition and got blasted by Zaga.

TJ's problem is recruiting and his talent evaluation has been suspect. Basketball is a lot about bringing in talent and I don't think TJ has done well enough in that respect.

doesn't really matter as long as the Johnnies keep winning the all name contest every year.

Yep, if we don't get fricked in the seeding, that's an elite eight team.

I'm as big an LSU bball fan as there is, but this statement makes me laugh. That team was good but had ZERO depth.

Only team that gave UNC any resemblance of a basketball team.

That team was much better than the 8th seed it got.
