re: What did JJ do that was so bad in the 1st half?

Really ! What coach in his right mind would continue having a QB that was struggling in completion and couldn't execute a first down in that long of a period. Only Les Miles would be that stubborn. And only because he has full confidence on his defense. If we didn't have a defense to truly depend on, this would have never happened.

He did nothing....
2nd half he managed the game....he handed it off.

The season has nothing ti do with what I'm referring to.
Try to keep up.

He played like crap, had a couple of potential INT's dropped but LSU won which kind of validates my belief that team would win with Erin Andrews behind center.
nope - center would be called for premature motion on every play.

Happy with the season. Happy with wins and being undefeated. Happy that JL was pulled in Bama game. Confused that JL was not inserted into Ga game in first half to let JJ calm down- even if just for one series. Does that make me a bad fan? It's ok to not understand every coaching decision. You can do so and still be a great Tiger fan! I disagreed with Miles. The world did not end. LSU won. I'll be cheering like crazy in the NC game!!!!

We're 13 and fricking 0, beating the dogshit out of EVERYONE and you are praying for the season to end so you don't have to discuss Jordan Jefferson anymore?

It's called not being able to see the forest for the trees.
It's being more interested in a certain player/position than the team/team success.
I don't give a fly flip who starts at QB or RB or C or R and I'm just as happy with the Ga. win as I was with the Duck win.
Any LSU fan wanting this dream season to end for ANY reason is college football mentally challenged, but each to our own.

Exactly what I have been saying. JJ missed on a couple of throws, but the first half was not all on him. We couldn't run the ball for shite and JJ was running for his life in the first half. I don't know what people thought Lee would be able to do differently.
I missed the first half on a school trip. Left McNeese at 3:15 - no radio. Tried to keep up by the thread on Scoreboard. It sounded so bad that I didn't even want to watch.
Got home at halftime and watched the rest of the game - I saw the GREAT part.
Then this morning, I watched the DVR of the first half. While it was not good, it was not at ALL as bad as the comments on scoreboard sounded yesterday afternoon.
I would not have called it 'pathetic' LSU play - perhaps uninspired but not pathetic.
I would characterize it as inspired GA play.

Bottom line is JJ is nothing more than a consistently inconsistent QB that can "sometimes" help us with the run.
He is absolutely a deer in the headlights at least half the passing plays. He stands in the pocket too long and has never learned how to read a defense. Does it help that he can sometimes escape a rush - Yes.
However, anybody that says he was short of horribly off in the 1st half is smoking something. Yes - he played like shite in another game.
Bottom line is we won with a QB that plays like shite more often than he plays well.
But we WON. WInning is all that matters.

Gives whole new meaning to what kind of "package" the center would have to deal with. Certain appendages could get in the way when centering the football. I'd predict several fumbles when she would be under center.

He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in the first half. He almost took a couple sacks, int grounding, 2 possible picks, rather see Mett.

As a 4th year starter in a big game, he play like SHITE.
Nothing unusual - been seeing the same manure during the last 4 years.
One decent play every 3 games, he keeps the starting job. Anybody else makes one bad play every 3 games, they hit the bench.
13-0 and I could care less ......
However, if he dumps the BCSNC and we lose because of his shite play, he better leave the state. He will have made Lester Earl look like the good guy. But we are not losing to anybody ...

you actually have to ask this? No offense to JJ personally, but he had zero input into the win last night. He's got one more game to enjoy the ride. I wish him the very best, I really do, for it's not his fault he's the starter; that is ALL Miles. But his starting is an odd spectacle.

Our entire offense looked like dogshit top to bottom.
Usually happens when you can't complete a pass
I really think if JJ hits RR on that first deep play then the offense doesn't struggle in the first half

And JT is still the most obnoxious, shite-stirring bandwagon-jumper of all time. It happens at the end of every fall like clockwork--despite being completely clueless on the sport in general, he will find whatever the most active bone of contention amongst the fanbase is, and start his usual irritating schtick.
Ah - wouldn't be a real thread if our self-appointed, holier-than-thou academic genius neglected to show up and point out just how awesome of a holier-than-thou academic genius he was.
Your 2 "examples" are woefully piss-poor. I didn't jump any bandwagons - I was negative on Miles almost since the day he was hired. And as your links point out - even when he had some success, I STILL wasn't on the Miles bandwagon. So which is it, professor? Am I a bandwagon-jumper or a contrarian. Can't have it both ways (except perhaps inside one of your fancy economic models that ignores facts and reality as inputs).

Then coming back full circle to today:

IMO, this JJ/JL crap is WAY overblown. Stop assuming you know something that Miles and the staff don't know. Take your 13-0 and STFU.
Another thing you've reminded us of is when it comes to spewing academic blowhards, always pay attention to what is omitted from the narrative. To wit:
Mea culpa from Jersey Tiger about just how wrong he was about Miles

They didn't. I used to think this guy was at least intellectually honest, but we've got multiple recent examples of just how much of a dishonest hack he is.
