So true. Give Bama fans a few more very good years and they will no longer tolerate a Sugar Bowl loss like last year or a possible loss in the SEC Championship Game this year.
It's actually sort of sad how LSU fans can no longer enjoy beating teams because they expect to.

so much better than the 90's it's pitiful.

Anyone not fully enjoying LSU football in this decade, a decade NEVER witnessed before in LSU football history

Recruit and develop one. He's had 5 years to do that.

jump on the field and play QB himself?
Probably would be better off than we are now.

Oh we appreciate it. In fact, we appreciate it so much we are really pissed off to see it ending and our program sinking to mediocrity.

Poor Paul Mainieri. Little does he know what winning a NC will do to the fans. After this season he should seriously consider what Nick Saban did and get out of town. Nick understands the game.

No shite! The way some LSU fans on here talk about Miles, that's a good way to run off a successful coach...

Good to hear, bc an Auburn poster the other day said he and many people he knows were glad that Miles stayed at LSU.

"I used to be like that years ago, but there's just so much more important stuff in life that I've really lost a lot of interest in it, ironically during a period when we've done well."
i love this comment ! i never thought i'd see ONE natl title in my lifetime, but THREE ! we've gotten spoiled and think opponents ought to lay down and die when we hit the field. i love the parity in this game, and love the way usc has gotten smoked twice in one year. these are exciting times, mon ! enjoy !!!

get rid of this winning coach, then who in their right mind would want to come to lsu after watching that pathetic scenario. it's hard enough to get anyone to move to louisiana/baton rouge with its crime, traffic, crappy state economy, etc. miles will probably head north anyway, as he's a midwesterner, and those are friendlier environs. enjoy him while he's here. the great food didn't keep saban here, nor the rolling out the red carpet ! hey, i've got an idea: let's put a life size facsimile of huey long on the 50 yard at all games, and pipe in any recordings of his voice that might exist and that'll get this team going ! it's a GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME !!!

No...I can't and neither can you.
But I can see the present and the past and both of those tell me Coach Miles deserves a little more back covering than some on here are willing to supply.
If you can't respect what Coach has done for us in his time here, that's fine. I can and I do.

To be honest I am truly concerned with the future of the program.
Nothing wrong with being concerned. Hell, one has to be blind not to see some red flags blowing in the wind. All that I suggest is we hold our water a little before we make decisions on a coach who has been pretty damn successful when it comes to the #1 result we all want....winning!

I think many will have a different opinion if we are 10-2 and going to the Capital One Bowl.
No,that's not enough. they have said:
quote:
We only have 2 losses to highly ranked teams, but it's not about that for me
quote:
Don't get me wrong - we'll be good...9-3, perhaps 10-2 good. But, in case some of you haven't noticed already, Alabama has supplanted us as the power in the SEC West, as well as a power on the national scale.
quote:
outside of the NC season (which was lucky), I think we have underachieved.
quote:
Should be in the Top 5 EVERY year with the recruiting base and support LSU gets. LSU can do better than Les Miles and could have has Saban not jumped ship so late in the year. Brian Kelly is out there.
quote:
Miles and his staff have sucked the life out of the program, and we are all gasping for air at this point to stay alive.
quote:
no matter how much talent Miles has he will always lose 2 games. And so far that has been true
Either these guys think LSU should win a national championship every year or they just hate Les.
Even if LSU wins a national championship it isn't enough.
quote:
Yes, he won a NC, but that was by sheer luck AND after his team managed to play uninspired AT HOME, ON SENIOR DAY, ON NATIONAL TV, WITH A CHANCE TO SECURE THE BCS TITLE GAME WITH A WIN THE NEXT WEEK IN THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, etc. That's just one example of that man not being able to effectively inspire those 85 kids to reach their enourmous potential
LSU needs to win every game by dominating every other team for four quarters.
MF says he wants your thoughts but he really just wants other weak minded individuals to wallow around with;
quote:
You are one of the people that I alluded to in the original post. You are a random fan. I would never expect someone like you to understand what it's like.
I guess we should all just apologize up front for not being as good a fan of LSU as the mighty PrattLSU. We can't all be "special" fans like Pratt is, can we?
Your obvious feelings of entitlement remind me of Lane Kiffin coming into the SEC. He has it in his mind that he's a good football coach and nothing anyone says will change his mind. You have it in head that you are a good LSU fan and nothing will change your mind. You won't want to hear it but you are a spoiled brat just like Kiffin.
Les Miles doesn't owe you anything other than fielding a pretty good football team which he has done every year he's been here.

For the 1,001th time, you don't know where we are going and neither do I. Don't be in such a rush and enjoy the ride. There is plenty of time to say I told you so later.

Enjoy the ride? That's what the hole premise of the thread is about...that the ride is sucking and has sucked since Miles backed into the luckiest opportunity to play in a BCS 'ship game ever against a highly overrated OhSt team.
I don't care who is playing QB, this is ridiculous. Once more, don't complicate things, just watch the performance of the team during the games we play. It's shitty. The fact that we're beating teams that aren't very good doesn't change that. What is LSU's best win this season? Whichever one it is, it's against an unranked, average (at best) team. And a few of those LSU had to squeak out.
Bottom line, after almost 2 full seasons, anyone that seriously thinks that this ship is headed in the direction of excellence is highly delusional & it's like arguing with someone who is telling you the sky is green. Keep cheering us on to mediocrity.

+1 Take it from someone who knows, enjoy the fricking good times. Les Miles is a successful coach that has a great record at LSU, be thankful you have him as a coach.
I'm beginning to think LSU may have some crazier fans than Bama, and that's tough to do.
LSU has experienced the best decade in the history of your program, and it's not over yet. When you've gone thru some of the hardest times in your schools history, you learn real quick to appreciate the good times while there here.
Easy for you to say when you are in the process of going 12-0 in the regular season for the second consecutive year. It's also easy for you to say when you have the coach who is responsible for our current run and will also be responsible for its decline.
