Like I said yesterday. Miles is like a night watchman at a plant. He lets people come and go through the gate and makes sure there is order but has no idea how the plant actually runs.

The fans could be the dumbest chicken little fan base in college football

Has anyone told you yet that you provide absolutely no creative thoughts or point of view on the site at all. I don't think I've ever seen one post from you that wasn't just a flame at someone.

First off, let me say that, as a long time Tiger fan, I've seen some deluded people around the program.

Example: at the end of Curley's awful tenure, there were people sporting bumper stickers in BR in Summer '94 that said something like "We support Curley".

That said, and knowing I will be bashed by the "We support Curley" crowd (you are out there and you know who you are -- I did not support curley and didn't have that sticker):

I feel disinterested and find that the games are not fun to watch for the last two years for the most part. We don't dominate crap teams like we should (not every case but many), and make bonehead mistakes week after week. Meanwhile the coach just paces the sideline and shows little emotion.

Bringing in Chavis, I think everyone agrees, was a smart move. 12th ranked offense in the SEC is unacceptable for LSU. I hope Lesticles makes a move and fixes it like he did the defense.

I don't want him gone and I respect what he's done, but the lack of preparation, enthusiasm, and discipline on the field are alarming this year.

It is just not fun to watch the Tigers as it was in past years. We look sloppy and unmotivated in many games.

Doesn't speak well for the coaching and although Les may not be personally to blame, he is responsible for the product on the field. That is the bottom line and that product, although better than 80% of our opponents, is still not very good
IMO.

I'd rather see a team that can execute without making bonehead mistakes all the time. Mistakes that have me cussing the TV and slapping my forehead while watching the games.

I have given up my age-old tradition of drinking alcohol on Saturdays. Combining drinking with the slop on the field lately has proven, in my case, to be a volatile mix unfit for public consumption.

That said: I hope we win out, and Les makes a move to improve our offense for next year.

Well said

they want the team to look crisp, improve every week not get worse, stop looking unprepared and disinterested, and challenge the good teams and beat them more often than not, and handily beat the teams that they should beat

Just beat a team up and down the field for 4 quarters, just once, and I will be ecstatic!

You should see some of the shite this a-hole says about Miles. It's one thing to disagree with how he handles a team, it's another thing to call the man a "piece of shite" and personally attack him. He's done literally nothing to deserve it.

It looks to me like this shoe fits. I hate it, because sometimes those night watchmen are the nicest people. But when it comes to running the plant, or the football program, staff, personnel, they just aren't the ones to go to, to get the job done.

How dense does one have to be to think that a man who has won so consistently, in the toughest conference in college football, has no idea how to run a football team? shite, the man even played college football. But yeah, I'm sure he doesn't even know what a first down is.

really?

Coaching career (HC unless noted)
1980-1981 Michigan (GA)
1982-1986 Colorado (OL)
1987-1994 Michigan (OL)
1995-1997 Oklahoma State (OC)
1998-2000 Dallas Cowboys (TE)
2001-2004 Oklahoma State
2005-present LSU

30 years in coaching at the highest levels and you think a security guard analogy is appropriate?

damn you are dumb

I bet half of them think that they could do an equal or better job. After all, only talent wins football games, don't you know.

no they are implying that he doesn't even know what goes on inside his own program (the plant)

that he just sits outside the gate oblivious to the processes going on around him

I am never disappointed with increasing levels of stupidity when I read the rant

You'd think that someone who has done so much for this program would get a little slack, but no. People just love to hate the man, and it's so pathetic and embarrassing.

I never thought I could get to this point, but there is just something about the current state of things that just uninspires me.

That's because being pissed off all the time takes a lot of energy.

JK

But I do understand what you mean. As any one that has read my posts lately knows, I am tired of the constant complaining by LSU fans. But I can understand someone saying they are not as excited or being uninspired. Obviously I don't know you or how old you are, but I think this happens to everyone at a certain point. For me it was the year after I graduated from LSU. It wasn't so much the team or the "lack" of intensity from the team, as much as it was just me. I began to realize that there was many more things that I had time to do that were just as enjoyable as LSU football, and because those things were "new", they seemed to get my attention. Thus, I lost some energy for following the team as obsessively as I once did. But you don't have to be obsessive to be a good fan,, but you (not meaning you directly) don't have to prove you're a fan by constantly bitching about things on which your perspective is limited...........something like that.

My real thoughts are that we need to give Miles at least next season before we can start with the serious judgements.
