An SEC caliber offense with an identity. Get your playmakers involved as much as possible. Focus on first downs, stop the 3rd down pass play just short of the first down, stop the goal line pitch play.

I am not expecting an offensive powerhouse. I am expecting a solid offense that just gets the job done.

Your is illogical or didn't anyone tell you what LSU's record was this past year?

Move the chains. Limit 3 and outs. Score td in red zone.

This is the correct answer. The mark of a good offense is a high 3rd down conversion percentage and a high red zone TD conversion percentage. LSU has faired poorly every year under Crowton in these two categories.

I think the offense should be improved big time next season, depending how long it will take Mett to learn the playbook.

An offense with some methodology would be nice. Routes that clear throwing lanes and evacuate the middle.
Develop QBs to hit some 3step plays, read blitz and use hot outlet.
Improvement of the short game will turn LSU's run game into a juggernaut.

To everyone saying "more wins", give your opinion on these two sinarios

1) we win 11+ games but out offense is still a bottom tier offense.

2) our offense is highly ranked but we only win 10

I am looking for balanced attack and development of the QB. I am looking for a good jump in YPG and OFF ranking. I think it is reasonable to make the offense top 50-70 in the first yr. I also want to see if he can get the ball to our playmakers.

If our offense is top 10 and LSU finishes with only 10 it means our defense must have dropped off the planet. With a Top 25 Offense and Top 10 defense LSU is a 12 win team that challenges for the SEC/NC every year.

Tough one.
A W is a W.
If LSU wins every game by one point, you're looking at perpetual Natties, in Byrdspeak.

Gonna be a consistent offense..run game with alot of misdirection....Offense will improve our defense. No more Defense makes a huge stop and offense comes up short, therefore depleting the defense some.

Move the ball consistently, put points on the board when we need them, keep the defense off the field, and to have an identity. All in all COMPETENCE. Thats all I ask.
