It’s irrelevant if they played for Paul or not
Is Pearson regressing under Johnson from year 1 to year 2 a good thing ?
Tre Morgan hit .400 in the SEC as a freshman. He hit .280 this year.
What did I make up regarding Jobert? Dude got into fantastic shape. He was an after thought and asked to look around in the offseason. Now he is bailing out Johnson because none of the guys he recruited have really materialized.
I like Johnson but y’all sure do just ignore the uncomfortable.

just didn’t like the.fact, each year there was a small percentage of guys in the lineup that could really bang out HR’s.
Your perception is not reality

Jay puts a premium on guys like that ( HR hitters )
Well yea, that, and the strike zone is insane(hitters favor) and the balls are juiced.
Hitting HRs is great but the profile of the LSU player that can hit a HR sacrifices more than just defense. Johnson needs to adjust.

title of the thread, Lester.

My bad I thought you said Jay was one hell of a hitting coach

must be a terrible hitting coach then.
espcially when you consider Joebert really just got in shape, and Thompson’s peak was his freshmen year when he had a worse BA and hit less HR and got on base less.
and crews is better but that’s just him he would have been as good for anyone.
and Beloso is better but he’s only hitting 240 in SEC Play and he probably hit better when his overall BA was .220. you can’t bother to look that up.
oh and Dugas was bad last year, and we can ignore that he was on fire this year till he busted his shoulder. injuries don’t happen to good hitting coaches.

Ya. He’s terrible, that’s what I said. Yawn

again, can you not be a hitting guru if any of your players regress?
NVM team Ob% is .438 compared to .361 in 2021.
our approach as a team is so much better.

———————————————————————-so you actually think LSU, under Manieri, had prolific HR hitters up and down the lineup? I think not, you’re the guy living in a land of fantasy.

This team doesn’t have prolific HR hitters up and down the lineup though.
And the balls are juiced. For like the 100x. Everyone’s offensive numbers are up

Ask this question again if CJJ does not get to Omaha.....

Let me see if I get this right? he throws a stupid statement out there and then it’s up to everybody else to prove he’s wrong. I love …Wow.
