can't happen.

1. Schools don't pay out NIL - it's their boosters.
2. The Supreme Court has said it's legal for players to receive NIL money. Any restriction of that by the NCAA likely won't be legal.

Now, the NCAA could do other things, like reinstate the one-year sit-out period for transfers (except grad transfers). That would go a long way to stop the instant-play, free agency we're seeing now.

No they don’t. They just pay a fine for paying over the salary cap. The large market teams just pay the fine. It only hurts the smaller teams in the long run.

Unless you are suggesting implementing a draft system for college athletes (good luck with that).

The way to fix this shite is to have the conferences start being the ones that make the rules.

I think 50k should be the limit for any player. They don't need more than that when they have a free education

Remember when the NBA suddenly had a flood of draft picks right out of high school in the early 2000s? Kwame Brown, Darius Miles, Tyson Chandler....everybody thought they were drafting Kevin Garnett 2.0.

This year 1 and year 2 for NIL will result in some recruits getting +$100k and some getting +$1m. Soon they will figure out the baseline amount of money needed for a roster of 82 players and the amount of money consistently needed for a Top 5 recruiting class.

There is no realistic way of controlling it. NCAA has rolled over
