B4 Joe we were said to be a 6 win team because we have no QB. Joe Burrow is being praised as a potiential starter at Ohio state and is the best QB in the the transfer market

Now we get Joe and all of the sudden we're still a 6 win team and Joe Burrow is not very good.

Maybe they have no confidence in the people coaching Burrow?

Obviously not or he'd still be there

What amazes me even more is the fans that believe a transfer QB should turn a 6 win team into a contender.

Winning this year will be far more satisfying for LSU fans because of all the negative predictions. Burrow and the LSU Defense will be what lifts LSU to the SEC Titke game.

Will enjoy saying, “Told you so assssholes”

It all starts at the top. Do you just expect the media to believe all of a sudden that O is a great HC without him having to prove it?

He's going into his 4th year if that's what you mean. Graduated in 3 years so has 2 still to play.

We haven’t won less than 8 games since 1999. That includes a season where we started a scrawny transfer scrub from Harvard at QB in 2008.

You're talking about people that thought Anthony Jennings was going to be the hero in 2014 because he completed a wide open pass against Arkansas, then thought Brandon Harris was going to be the savior in 2015 just because.

We were never a six win team and anyone that thought so is an idiot or a shill.

Jesus Christ an LSU coach has lost more than THREE regular season games only three times since 2001.

2002
2008
2014

All of those teams had awful QB to go along with mediocre to bad defensive play.

Now all of a sudden we are a 6 or 7 win team???

How anyone thinks this Aranda defense and an Urban Meyer trained fourth year QB is going to join that list of awful seasons is absurd.

If this season is added to that list it is 100% on the staff and heads should roll.

Well, we don't have a proven QB coach, OC, or OL. We are in our weakest position at RB in more than 10 years.

Reality is that a QB like Burrow alone isn't going to solve this teams problems on offense. There are a ton of holes, and O has proven to be a hindrance on the the offense when things aren't going well. He will interfere again as soon as thing go south with the offense. Just watch.

2009 we were 9-4.

But I agree, it's ridiculous to accept we are a 6-7 win team. I get the schedule is tough and we have a lot of new starters on offense. But, if we get through the fall healthy, our D will be talented and deep.

Burrow may be a new starter, but adds a more diverse skill set. Being terrified to challenge the middle of the field and throw intermediate routes made our offense predictable and easy to defend. Blame it on Etling, Canada or O, who cares?

We took a step back at RB, but we won't rely on a power run game to move the chains. CEH, Proevens and Curry will be fine. Brossette? IDK.

Although limited in experience, we have one of the most talented WR groups in CFB. If Sullivan is as good as thought he will get them ready.

I have confidence in Cregg to get the OL working together. Charles, Ingram and Brumfield return. Lewis looks to be a great OG and we have a lot of options at RT. Deculus was a highly ranked OT so hopefully that year to develop paid off.

STs can only get better. We signed the top JUCO K and we actually have an ST coach now so it can't get worse.

Very tough schedule. So what. Welcome to the SEC. If the season tanks, I'll look at the reasons why, but my expectations are high. I may be overly optimistic and get let down in the end, but that's been going on since 1/9/12.

I sure as hell don’t have any confidence in them. I don’t think getting a decent QB gives you a shortcut to offensive production. They still have to coach him up.

Both highly recruited QBs out of high school. No reason st that time to think they wouldn’t be successful.

Well, they are penciling us to lose to Bama, Auburn, Georgia, and Miami for sure. They have also been beating off to Moo U with 50%Fitz and A&M now that they have Jimbo.
