He had 2 9 win seasons. People opt out and don’t give a shite about bowl games. Regular season wins are the only thing that matter when you’re talking about “10 win coach” or “8 win coach”

When we tease Aggie about being Texas 8&4 we are by implication talking about the regular season. So Kelly is 9-3, 9-3 and 8-4. That still doesn’t make the OP right - Kelly is better than 8-4.
Also you’d have to judge Miles without post season as well.

I live right in the thick of Aggie country, and the Ag alumni I've talked to seem to think 8-4 is acceptable. A far cry from LSU folks
