It's the triple option of defense. It's effective because teams may gameplan for it once all year.

I thought so. All that says to me is they don't have guys with size that are also athletic,

We have a 6'5", 225 pound safety, that can cover, AND bring the wood.

JJ will easily figure that Defense out, and just pick them apart.

frick, we have a CORNERBACK over 200 lbs. that's the size of some WR's.

PP is nothing but a faster better version of your "safety"....now THAT'S scary.

Crowton hates play action passes because they're extremely effective.

I don't see anybody on the roster matching that description. What's his name? Anyway, I just don't see this scheme being effective against LSU for more than a quarter.

I do think it will call some cofusion in the passing game.

But we're winning games right now without throwing the ball.

I see him now, Rivals has him 6-0, 211, but everybody else has him at 6-5. Weird.

I hope this is sarcasm

Luckily that's only a dozen plays a game.

I know it can cause some confusion, and it will probably be effective against the screens that we like to throw so damn much. However, I think pounding up the middle will be extremely effective.

Yeah, that other guy told me and I said:

Anyway, do they have 4 or 5 of him? Only then will I be worried.

3-3-5 is not as bad against the run as you may think.

this. 3-4; 4-4 etc. people assume that you have a 3 man DL all the time. not true. you still have a minimum of 3, but with the backers you have 6 to commit to the run and can commit 2 others easily. it leaves the D in a position to cover the pass as well. also, they will be preparing for LSU this week; i will guarantee they will load up the box a lot with guys that are designed to stuff the run. there is no magic; we have to pass to open up the run and vice versa.

A 3-3-5 defense is NOT a good defense against our offense. We cannot pass worth a damn, and we love to try to establish the run at no end. So, if can run the ball on the teams we have played so far, we definitely will be able to on the smaller 3-3-5 of WVU.

I don't think this will reduce our ability to pass much at all. It will still suck.

I get that, and I would expect it to be effective against teams that you have an athletic advantage over. LSU is not one of those teams.
