I plan on going. Plenty cheap flights from N.O. to Pittsburgh and driving in from there.

I will say this....I've never seen a school or group of fans portrayed worse than WV in "The Express". Threw a little poop on U. Texas too.

i usually don't listen to "some" and experience things for myself. i went to a game there last year and had a blast. it is a major university so it's similar to other places in that regard but it is isolated, so if you are into big cities this may not be your trip. it's not too far from Pittsburgh though. i will be there and i am sure i will have a good time just like every other road trip.

That'll be my road trip for the 2011 season. May also include a trip to Pittsburgh.

Can you get there from Houston?

Too much money to visit the hills.

Too bad the game's in late Sept. - if it was 3 weeks later the leaves would be really pretty.

I can't wait till this game goes down, im making the trip down to BR next year also. Just one word of advice don't walk by any big student tailagtes or you will see a storm of beer cans or food come your way. We have a student tailgate area called the pit which is right near the staduim and many visiting fans think its ok to walk by it and are greated by 1 finger salutes and beers.

i moved from nola to wva when i was 16. i moved to the capital (charleston), it was a very progressive city, so was the h.s. i thought i was gonna die when i found out i was moving there but it turned out to be awesome, i still have great friends that live there. all this in saying , i went to several games in morgantown and had a blast. its a great stadium and a fun town. now when i was 18 that sucked, we moved to JACKSON MS. ARMPIT OF THE SOUTH.

they will get introduced to fans that will talk shite back real fast. should have tons of fights. I might need to go now.
We are saying the same thing on the wvu boards about if we get treated like shite in BR we will fire right back

Coonasses vs the inbred. I might have to make the drive up from Virginia just to see the spectacle.

If you want to take a six hour round trip drive. I grew up just east of Canton and it's quite a drive from Morgantown.

Be warned their fans are WAY worse than ours. I am not making it up when I tell you that I have seen very innocent people get pelted with fully dressed hot dogs, assaulted and cursed at.
When WVU comes to TS, but you could reverse it
For those who haven't seen it
Germans, but worth it.

The luster may have faded off West Virginia a bit: their strength and conditioning coach no longer owns wolves, their coach cites odd bits of West Virginia political wisdom to the bafflement of outsiders, and they may have settled down into an 8-5ish trough under Bill Stewart. Yet the concept of the Mountaineer fanbase trekking to truculent Tiger Stadium at night rivets the imagination. Not only is there a real potential of the selling of brown liquor futures for immense profit possible prior to the event, but it also may be the largest collection of people who can taxiderm anything in one place ever for any reason in the history of the universe. (The list of things they are willing to taxiderm includes people, of course.)

I'm a life long LSU fan (since the late 50s). I lived in Charleston, WV for 2 years & attended WVU games. Just to set the record straight -
I found the WVU fans to be very civilized to opposing fans. I never saw any problems.
