They aren't beating Anderson or Eyanson.

This right here. I love LSU's chances in the 2/3 super format.

How so?

He was conditioned to be a reliever all through preseason and for most of the regular season. Late in the year they began to build him up to being a starter, but even then he peaked at 93 pitches and that was a month ago. They switched him back to the bullpen for the South Carolina series and then he didn't pitch again for 17 days until Monday night. Hes gonna be sore for a couple days after pitching that much after that much time off. He's not like Kade or Eyanson who have become accustomed to throwing 100+ every 7 days. And even Kade struggled a bit when coming back 1 day early for thursday games this year. Now we're going to ask Evans to come back early after 109 on Monday? Jay knows his guys and I'm sure will make the right decision, but I'm just saying we may not see the same level of effectiveness from Evans we saw on Monday night this Saturday or Sunday

Quit trying to make this anything else. LSU is the biggest favorite to advance to Omaha. LSU is more talented and at home. LSU hasn't lost a series all year at home. LSU SHOULD win.

We are also likely to come into this series completely focused and not taking WVU lightly after what happened Sunday and Monday.

Prior to regionals, they were 2-6 over their last 8 games.

When we are talking about how hot a team is coming in, let’s remember that LR had won 5 in a row in their conference tourney and ended up going 8-2 over their last two weekends, with the only losses to us, a top 8 seed at home.

WVU played well enough to win their region, but they aren’t on the run that LR was. That may make no difference at all in the end, but it’s worth noting.

If we see Evans Saturday or Sunday, it’s to close the door at the end of a game, not throw 100 pitches. He likely wouldn’t get more than 2 innings in that scenario.

You are as hot as your next pitcher’s start. I like the chances of our next 2 starts over theirs

I’m not saying LSU will lose. Show me where I did.

If they play at the level they did in every SEC home series, they will win. Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama are all better teams and LSU swept the other two series, one against a Miss St team of comparable strength to WVU.
