Wes Johnson might be retarded

I just can’t wrap my head around that response.

“Coach, do you think your team deserves a top 8 national seed?”

“Well that’s not up to me, but I will tell you that I don’t think the team who beat our asses today deserves an NCAA tournament bid.”

He should have praised LSU to no end. Talk about how a sub .500 SEC team is THAT good, to boost his top 8 case.

He managed to fumble the opportunity and look dumb as hell

Supposedly there was some real beef between the 2 coaches. Word is that they didn’t even speak once Championship game ended.

I haven’t watched Georgia all year, so not sure how he typically acts in-game. However, he was noticeably agitated all game today. Based on those antics and the postgame presser, it looks like he made that into more than just one game.

If I had to guess, it probably wasn’t an enjoyable couple days leading up to it for the players too. Maybe that contributed to the Tuesday morning curbstomping Coach!

I remember Jay not being happy about the UGA announcement leaking in Omaha, however, Wes did stick it out rather than quit like he did in Minnesota before the season was over.

With the portal times, leaving immediately to focus on UGA’s recruiting could have made more sense last June.

Perhaps Jay thought he didn’t fulfill his commitment and was too focused on getting another job or recruiting for UGA while still at LSU and with a lot at stake with a great team. Maybe he felt he violated his contract in some ways. Who knows but I’m sure the story will eventually get out.

If I had to guess, it’s probably over recruiting and him trying to take some of LSU’s young prospects like Cannizzaro and Mainieri
