I was curious that on the Auburn pick-six play, LSU was flagged for illegal motion, a dead ball foul; the pass should not have happened and therefore no interception and no easy TD. But that is just me
Illegal motion doesn't kill the play. Only a false start.

No game changing plays like previous games, but not a single holding call on the AU OL??? I saw blatant holding on several plays.

I thought the officials actually did a really good job. Some iffy calls, but none that were blatantly slanted.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the quarterback hit as his arm was going forward? If a quarterback is hit as he releases, you'll almost never see a grounding call. Whether it was the right or wrong call, you be the judge, but I wasn't surprised at the no-call there, and I can't imagine myself as an official making that call.

if it is the same play i am thinking of, that was the same way i saw it too - the hit of the defender altered the flight of the ball.

Alem made sure on the subsequent play that there would be no question that he was there in time and fairly smacked the QB. I thought he took the bad call as a challenge. Thing of beauty. He left no doubt.

That was an awesome response to the only call of the night I thought questionable. We did get tackled coming off the end a few times, but I think that the LSU DL is exempted from the offensive holding call in the SEC rulebook.
