I really thought Max was going to be successful at LSU.

If he has the option to come back and doesn’t, means he probably balled out and is going pro.

If he has a Burrow or Daniels year 1, he can come back and improve.

If he plays that stupid bowl game this season is his only shot.

If the tigers make playoffs and do well, and Nuss lights it up he’s gone, but if circumstances go another way he might stay

I had no issue with it. If he would have transferred after the bowl game then maybe I would have had a problem with it. But even if he did play, we weren't winning that game. Our defense was in shambles, we couldn't cover or tackle anybody. Now if Damone Clark plays in the bowl game maybe that helps but I had no issue with either sitting out.

As Marcus Randall's brother used to tell him, "Good things come to those who wait."

Only difference was that Nuss could've played lights out in that bowl game and gotten some momentum heading into the off-season and maybe prevents JD5 from ever transferring here and earns himself a starting job earlier

I love Nuss, but honestly, what were the chances of this? It would have been his first start with 39 scholarship players, and a coaching staff made up of mostly GAs. This game isn't that easy.

Papa Nuss is big on college experience contributing towards NFL success. I think Nuss would have to have an absolutely incredible, almost Joe Burrow type year, to go pro.
