As you said, there's a lot of season left. UGA and Bama have a loss. But...those teams are playing FAR better than us. There's reason to expect improvement from them. LSU isn't in the same boat.

Perception is not reality. Go look at Bama and UGA stats and tell me how much better than us they are. They are both a shell of their former self. You just see LSU’s glass as half empty and theirs as half full…

Your offensive leaders in the conference are:
Mizzou
Tenn
OM
Ark
Vandy

In that order. Do you think that is the end of season pecking order?

If your premise is correct that LSU lost to Ole Miss because of a hampered QB, then wouldn't it be logical to assume that had the QB rested AHEAD of the Ole Miss game then LSU wouldn't have lost that game?
Not necessarily...

Don't forget Durham was out; we went with backups at RB. Maybe the thought process was that going with Nuss, even under 100%, was better for continuity than going with a complete 2nd string backfield. In hindsight, maybe it wasn't.

People are going to have to adjust their mindsets with college football. It's like the NFL now, your season isn't screwed with a loss. Going undefeated isn't necessary anymore.
For LSU, the goal is to make the playoffs, and try to be ready. That means we can afford 1 more loss, and you want the offense to figure things out along the way, so if we do get in we're dangerous. If we're 10-2 at the end of the year, and Nuss finally has things clicking in the passing game, nobody will want to see us as their matchup.

Part of not being exhausted is getting off the field. Look, they are competent, but I am not convinced that they are superior or elite. We will learn more Saturday. The offense at this time appears to be a futile undertaking. Without an above average offense this season will not amount to much. That's all I am saying.

I think fans, for the most part, have adjusted to that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the annoyance/anger is not necessarily because of the loss, but because it was seemingly foreseeable given the offenses struggles. LSU's offense wasn't great vs. Clemson. It was worse vs. La Tech, and even worse vs. Florida. Yet, despite that reality, the coaching staff appeared to do nothing to address the issue before it ultimately led to a loss. BK just yelled at a reported and called the fans "spoiled" for recognizing the clear issues and not just being happy LSU won.

In other words, it feels like a loss that didn't have to happen if the staff would have just accepted what they were doing on offense wasn't working and tried to change course before the problems DID lead to a loss. Or that LSU burned some of its margin for error instead of just fixing the issues before incurring a loss.
