#71 player in the country. Looks good on film too. JOB has a long ways to go. If anything, after his Jr season at best.

Man this is exciting. If we beat Virginia then go 9-7 in the SEC, squeak in the tournament, pick up Gathers. We're a preseason top 15-20 team. DEAF DOME IS BACK!!!!!

Shoe, is Ronnie Martin gonna join the team for SEC play?

How badass would it be to beat Bama Jan 9, then Martin travels to Bama the next day and gets some mop-up duty if we happen to be up late?

LSU being ranked preseason is almost weird. I could get used to it though! who's going to the GSU game?

At the top of my head I don't think we've ever been preseason ranked since I started following in 99 when I graduated.

I'm pretty sure we were ranked to start the 06-07 season...I wanna say around #10.

ETA: wow. LSU was ranked 5th and 7th preseason in 2006.

We were #5 preseason before the 06-07 season.

We were coming off the final four run. That's why.

I know that but we lost Tyrus & Glen. Don't remember being that high.

Big Baby stayed for that season.

We sucked because we relied way too hard on him that season. He got hurt and we were a better team without him.

We beat #3 Florida with Big Baby on the bench.

Hickey=Paul, with a little improvement on ball handling and passing.I hope he stays another year or two

No, just, no.

I like Hickey. He's really good and he can do a lot of things. He's probably my favorite player on the team. He has the potential to become one of the best PGs in the country if he steadily improves. BUT, he's definitely not the passer, nor the ball handler, nor the 'quarterback' Paul is on the floor, or even what he was at Wake. I know you said Hickey needs improvement in those areas, but that's where Paul stood out in college. That's not a knock on Hickey, Paul is probably still the best PG in the NBA and will be an all time great. Hickey may make it to the pros, but I don't really even see him being a starter.

Hamilton has been a beast for us this year--defensively just as much on O.

His defensive IQ is impressive. Do you notice him constantly talking and communicating with his teammates and getting them in the right spots.

And his rotations are always on spot, hence all the charges he takes.
