they will mature, learn and get better after a game like that.
I agree, they are both young and inexperienced hopefully they have learned a lot because you know that Bama, A&M and Ole Piss will learn a lot from watching the tapes on our defense.

This is, by far, a down year for sec defenses. Or a great year for offenses depending on how you want to look at it. We can score with anyone, our d will make stops later in the season as they improve.
Losing to UGA doesn't hurt our chances for a national championship except that we MUST beat Florida. Regardless of the Georgia outcome we couldn't afford a late season loss to A&M or Bama or a loss to anyone else in the West.

Welter is the worst player I've seen play on LSU's defense since the Dinardo days.
did you miss the Hatcher at Mike experiment in 2011, or did you just close your eyes when he was out there? if it was the latter, I understand.
He was graduating kindergarten with special considerations to brain activity .

What do you wan us to change? Every single one of our starters are inexperienced(except Loston). You want to replace inexperience with less experience?

Change up the LB position and take Johnson out because his injury is compromising the line. Let some youngsters play at DB. Try Kwon Alexander at safety.
The last sentence in this paragraph is almost as bad as trindon to de. Almost.

Do posters really think Bama's offense is better than Uga's because is sure as shite isn't. Colorado st shut down bama.

[quoteAll I can say is, time will tell. People say "don't worry A&M's defense is horrendous" maybe so, but looking at our last game ours is too. [/quote]
Holy shite. I hate our ignorant fan base. A&M defense giving up 900 yards of offense to rice and Sam Houston isn't the same as lsu giving up yards and points to Uga. Get a clue. A&M just got manhandled by an arky team thy lost to Rutgers.

I actually agree with this--I think that Welter's performance in the Auburn game was unexpected, but then he lapsed back into his very mediocre at best play vs. Georgia.
Kwon Alexander needs to get lots more playing time, and while I think Chavis is a very good defensive coordinator, I hope that Beckwith gets a shot and perhaps as the season progresses, let's at least see Robinson getting a strong look at DB.

Meh, to most LSU fans with a brain and without an agenda , doing something to relieve the numerous deep balls for 1st downs and tds and basic total confusion on our secondary would be more important. We miss Eric Reid way more than minter. But hey...frick that , lets hate on welter.
You continue to prove you know nothing about football. The reason we are getting burned deep is because we have to bring a safety up to help the lbs. welter is not good. He is the weight of a safety.

you are way over simplifying things...
you are ignoring that our CBs never looked at the ball, that some of our players were surprised at times that there was no help behind them..
frankly, they looked lost....the GA receivers were 4 yards away from our CBs.

because Welter clearly hasn't earned his spot based on his performance or potential.
Hes not the only player at fault here. a lot of dont look like they earned it, but we arent at practice. Im all for playing more of the younger guys, but we need more help than just linebacker.
