Harris said he was hurt at Aub. and that the injury limited his playing time.

That's clever about Hillar Moore being an LSU fan--maybe that means he'll do what he can to see that Harris gets a chance.
But seriously, this would be a tremendous opportunity for the coaching staff to get a good look at Harris in game conditions and see if he can really contribute this season.
I doubt Jennings has even proven to Miles that he is that much overwhelmingly better than Harris, in practices and the spring game so that he should get more than half the reps.
To me the ideal situation would be for Harris to start, the team to score 35 plus points and be comfortably ahead so that with eight to 10 minutes to play, McMillan gets some experience at QB.

The more you post, the more you show how little you know.
Unless Harris has a fall camp injury, he will start the first game and that's a FACT!!!!

If it happens because of Les' stubbornness regardless of quality play, LSU fans might as well bend over and get ready for a long season.
Time for Harris to not leave any doubt who the qb should be.

quote:I don't think it had anything to do with "experience".
I never understood why the coaches believed AJ had so much more experience going into last season. He had the end of the Arky game and a bowl game which he was unimpressive in. Sure he had another year of learning the system and BH didn't seem to know it as well, but that part should be over now. After re-watching all of the games from last year it's amazing how many poor choices were made at the QB position. Had BH been given those same snaps I do not believe he would have done any worse, and there would have been upside.
Also, I'll preface by saying I believe clearly Harris is more talented, by a long shot, AND, I also believe he'll be the starter this season. Further, I HOPE I'm right about that.
But that said, if you don't understand why he wasn't given more chances last season, then you must not have watched anything but the end of the MSU game. Whenever BH came in, with the exception of that few minutes at the end of the MSU game, the offense was even MORE discombobulated and out of sync than when AJ was in. Almost every time, we had to burn a TO immediately upon BH's entrance into the game. And on multiple occasions, on handoffs, he was turning right and the RB was on the left. Fact is, he simply didn't know that playbook.
That doesn't mean I think the playbook is the greatest. I really don't know, because we either don't know it or we don't execute it. But...he didn't know it and that much was SO obvious. That, to me, is why his opportunity was so limited. Injury or not. Because he's certainly more talented.

Is this even in question. Everyone knows it will be JJ --- Ah - I mean AJ.
Seriously Miles may sit Jennings for the 1st half (maybe all) of the McNeese game but it will be all AJ after that.
