A college football fan should marry another college football fan, preferably from their school.

My wife has been an LSU fan longer than me. She's a teacher and when I run into people I don't know that know her, the first thing they say is, "She's a huge LSU fan!"

I just smile...

Well, she should know she's going to look out at her guests during the ceremony and see plenty of diurty looks from dates, as well as people paying more atention to the guy with the earbuds to her stupid wedding dress.

IF she's a keeper, or you have strong probability to get lucky, then you can ask her about a swap in and out since the reception is near your house and I saw no mention that you have tickets.
If she's not a keeper or you can get lucky, SCRU IT! Not worth it (although weddings bring out the chicks you usually can't find in a sports bar)!
+Show up as the bride and groom arrive, first dance, BS, BS.
+leave and watch the first half on tivo (she has to come along and bring beer!)
+Go back, more BS, BS, and watch them go away into their land of stupidity
+Watch the 2nd half and get lucky!

This guy getting married is a puss and stupid to EVER allow a fall wedding unless the bride is knocked up. His life will be a series of getting bullied and walked on by her. He deserves the hell he'll get and then the divorce he'll pray and pay for.

Getting married on a Saturday in the fall? For shame. I got married on a Sunday in August. 1) No football 2) Cheaper for the in laws 3) No football

I don't know how you can say this but then tell the OP to even bother messing with this crap. If she is a "keeper" he needs to get shite straight now.

People that get married on Saturdays during football season are not your real friends

Friends don't let friends marry a girl who decides to get married in the Fall. PERIOD.
Sound to me like to groom was walked all over and he'll wake up one morning to realize she's running his arse, and it all started when he gave in on the wedding date and kept snowballing from there. A truly great woman knows that Fall weddings are dumb and if it's a must, they at least consult the LSU schedule.

Divorce costs so much because it's worth it, if you married the wrong person.

Go to the game, f the wedding unless it's your brother or sister, my brother decided to get married during the UA/TN game back in 03, luckily my brother had a TV in his SUV. So the Groom/my brother and me and a few others were outside watching the game in his vehicle, we would go back into the reception during commercials, lol oh yeah and I was best man, we caught hell

I'm in the same boat. My grandma's 75th birthday party is Saturday at 2 in metairie. It's at a reception hall and there are no tvs. I am praying I can get some kind of video stream on my phone.

I also prayed that it would be a 7oclock game and God didn't grant me that one.

My sister-in-law's sister in law got married on LSU-Georgia Game day. The wedding started at 6 and that was too close of a game for us to leave at halftime. We left our house right after game and ended up walking up to the church as the ceremony was ending and the bridal party was walking back down the isle. We just snuck in the back and pretended we were there the whole time! Luckily we had our 3 year old son with us so it looked like we were standing back there to keep him quiet! People were coming up saying "oh your son is SO SWEET! We didn't even hear a peep from him!" LOL!
You just don't get married during football season!

She's cool with me not going. So it's really not that big of a deal. I invited her here after if she wanted to come. Plus there is still over a week till the game so I have plenty of time to butter her up for the week to make missing this not a big deal at all.

If she's actually cool with it (not the "that's fine" that we often hear), then it's a done deal. What's the debate?

Geaux to the wedding. A game only last for a couple of hours, a relationship could last a lifetime.

Or she could end being insane and you could miss LSU upsetting Bama.

No girl is worth that.
