I think we'll play around 2 pm if you'd agree gives the big band time to pass.

yeah but yesterday it wasn't more than a heavy drizzle. if it rains like it rained on friday they ain't playing (lightning or not!)

looks like the big band is setting up just south of Baton Rouge. "IF" nothing else developes down Lafeyette way or the band moves back north we should start on time.

This first band is going to pass thru. It will be partly sunny for awhile.

The question is: what happens with that next wave of rain clouds.

Guys 100% chance of rain doesn't mean anything. Yes, it's raining now. 100% doesn't mean it rains all day, just that at some point it will rain. We'll know more by 11am.

The field would be absolutely drenched, why not wait 2-3 more hours since nothing's on TV for ESPN2 since Arizona punched its' ticket to Omaha. (Arizona Game 3 was scheduled for 3 CT)

I don't know, man. I'm thinking that the field crew is going to need some time to get the field playable. But then again, it seems like they have that down to a science now. I'm in South BR. It's still steady raining here.

They won't postpone actual start time if they have the normal amount of time to prepare the field.(I think)

Pissed me off yesterday. Everytime gausmen was on the mound it would start raining and then it would quit when they were in the field.

the forecast looks a lot better for tomorrow .. this pattern is supposed to break up a bit tonight .. don't really know who another postponement benefits more ..

The high res models look to end the rain by early afternoon and radar trends look to support that. I hope they hold tight and don't postpone the game until tomorrow. For selfish reasons, I am pulling for 1st pitch b/w 1 and 3 today.

It did seem that way. And that's when SB got 4 of their 6 hits, in the 3rd inning with the 1st downpour. I really felt bad for Kevin. You could see him struggling with his pitches because of the rain.

I personally think it favors SB. The only advantage I thought we might have was pitching depth. Another day of rest helps them more than us, I think.
