re: We will win 22-25 basketball games next year in the regular season...

So we'll be a better team because other teams are losing their good players?? With TJ LSU will be mediocre at best. We need a new coach and a new system. We will continue to shoot horrible, and the most talented players in the state will leave. He had the twins at Stanford and he had Marcus Thorton that's the only reason he has much success in the past.

If we can just get 5-6 SEC caliber players in here for next year we might win 20+ games.
I assume you mean 5 or 6 more, in addition to the two we already have, and not 5 or 6 total. Either way, at a pace of accumulating two for every four years of recruiting, the prospect of getting up to 5 or 6 in one year is just as unrealistic as getting 5 or 6 more in that year alone.

The announcers both agreed that LSU would be a Top 4 SEC team next year.
They also agreed that LSU plays very good defense.

our current team, which loses no one from its starting five, while most teams in the SEC and NCAA lose significant contributors to their respective teams, and it seems like common sense to me that we'll be much improved
Name any of the players at LSU that have improved from one year to the next under Trent's guidance in the last four years. And now you think we'll suddenly have five do it in one year?

Also, we'll be slated to return four of five starters the following year
Even four in two years would be way ahead of his current pace.

Be patient
The mantra of the shitty coach apologist. Patience gets you John Brady for almost 11 fricking years. I thought we learned that lesson.

If Trent doesn't perform next year, then fire him
That's what people like you said last year and no doubt will say again after another failure of a season next year.

I just personally believe that everyone will eat every negative word they've said about Trent in the next two seasons
So what? I just personally believe that we are wasting time by keeping TJ another year. And?

If he wins two seasons in a row, the Jarrell Martin's, Craig Victor's, and Ricardo Gather's will begin to listen more closely
None of them listened after the SEC title in 2009. What will be different in 2013 or 2014, after "winning" a hell of a lot less than an SEC title, assuming you're not completely delusional and predicting an SEC title in one of those two years.

what we could have become under Brady will be realized under Johnson
It already is. Barring an incredibly lucky bonanza of talent laid in his lap by Collis Temple, what we could have become under Brady is exactly what we have become under Trent: the shittiest program in the SEC.

This. We have potential though, I'm in for a ride to MM

I want some of that. I got $500.00 they don't win 22-25 games next season. Next season will be worse than this year.

Most of the big stars were already signed well before LSU won the SECT. Zero returning quality depth killed us the next two years.
Hickey, OBJ and Hamilton are quality SEC players. I'm on the fence with Turner after his 2nd year slump.
He has a chance to bring in a few more guys (Hammink, Coleman and possible Pelle) along with Morgan who can provide quality depth and contribute in 2012-2013.

Hickey, OBJ
These are project players. OBJ has terrible hands and feet.
I love the idea that we just need a couple of big men to compete. Yet we have none on the radar, and, even if we found one or two, they would be freshmen.

Hamilton is for sure staying 1 more year now I don't think its even a question anymore... needs to hit the gym hard this summer and really start working hard he could be a top player in the nation if he would
1. I agree about hitting the gym.
2. I disagree that he will ever be a top player in the nation.
I define top player in the nation that he would be listed in the honorable mention All Americans, which you will always see listed after the actual All American teams.
He will not be on that list, ever.
Why? Because he rushes his shots in close. The game has not 'slowed down' for him. He is not comfortable. Its all too fricking much for him. Good for him, he's 7 feet tall. with practice, he can be a serviceable back up in the NBA or start on a good European team.

They are still SEC players, IMO. They were forced into action this year by necessity when they should have been coming off the bench as role players this year.
However, the PT both received will go along way in the next 2-3 years.
