People keep saying that, but the reality is this team should be 5-4, not 2-7.

Miss State isn't that great. They're 19-9, 4-4 in conference, and only ranked (21) because they took 2 of 3 from us. We should have won that series.
Florida is 15-11, 5-3. They're ranked in the Top 10, but it was a home series for us. We should have won that series, too.
Arkansas is #1, and on the road. But being a Top 10 (preseason #2), we should have got one. We frankly shouldn't be swept... if this team is as good as predicted.

Vandy and at Tennessee look to be just as hard as the last 2 series. A reasonable expectation would be 3-3 (taking Vandy 2-1, taking 1 from Tenn). I'm not sure we can do that.
That would still leave us 5-10 in conference, with some tough series left (A&M here, at Alabama). And we'd still need to actually sweep at Missouri, as well as do serious damage with Auburn and Ole Miss at home (at least one more sweep), if you want to host a regional.

Season ain't over, but we're definitely in a hole right now. Not a lot of time to get things together.
