There is no denying we have some serious defensive issues right now.

I'm just going to copy my post from another thread and post it here. I don't think we have defensive issues.

"LSU will not face another team like Florida the rest of the year.

Florida runs a spread option that stretches the defense vertically while spreading out the D-line.

This was a one game issue. When you scheme for Florida, you asoon just scrap it afterwards because you'll never see it again. Sure, there will be elements here and there but most of the other offenses LSU will face the rest of the year in the SEC use a PRO-style offense that utilizes I back and FLEX sets.

We won't have to run DIME and NICKEL packages for all three downs every series"

LSU will be fine defensively. One game issue.

32nd in total defense and 52nd in scoring defense which is bad considering Florida is the onyl team we've played with an offensive pulse.

Worst part is we've created 4 turnovers all year. Last in the nation.

May wanna put "his statement" then.

"This statement" means the statement that is the title of the thread.

I'm keeping it like I originally wrote it. I think everybody but you gets it.

We allowed MSU and Auburn to have one of if not their best games offensively all year man...we have defensive issues.

Easily a one game issue and we'll be fine against a prostyle offense, just like we were against ms. state...oh nevermind.

There is a fine line between optimism and denial. This, is denial. The problems can be fixed. Let's hope Les and the crew work OT this week.

Our defense is average at best. The secondary has been exposed by just about every team we have played this year.

I really can't say the secondary has been "exposed" per se...we knew it would be a weakness. Our d-line on the other hand...

And when you get those turnovers the total offense and scoring for the other team goes down....

All is connected.
