This idea that it’s always “muh talent” can be disproven with several examples every year. Take Rutgers last season, 2 lottery picks who are performing well as rookies in the NBA yet they were a sub .500 team. If that happened here you’d still have people trying to say it’s the players fault. It isn’t, he hasn’t had SEC championship talent but he’s had multiple teams with NCAA tourney talent yet he’s produced the worst tenure in our programs history, set records for losing streaks, never had a winning streak, has the worst single season record and the second worst single season record under his belt. It ain’t the players.

Its Jimmy's and Joe's and Xs and Os. McMahon has flatly refused to do any fundraising efforts and when you combine that with being a poor X and O coach it's a disaster. He should have been fired the first time he told Fat Scott that fundraising wasn't part of his job but Fat boy was too lazy to do it!

The team with Will Baker was at minimum good enough to be an 8 seed
Yet they lost to fricking Nicholls
The one year they perform well enough in SEC play to be a tournament team, they play like arse in non conference

Ok so you’ve inverted what the argument actually was. Guys like PK and the rest of your lot kept telling us in year 2 when he was redshirted that Chest was the missing link, the rebounder we were missing on that 9-9 team. The next season he started off playing well, getting up to 8.7 rebounds per game when he was getting regular minutes. Those same posters were saying it was part of McMahon’s plan and that Chest was an NBA player then when he and McMahon fell out and his minutes went to nothing the same posters claimed he was shite. This is where you jumped in and started calling him trash. After the season when you were claiming Tugler was an AA I pointed out that Chest had better numbers in almost every category which is when you started spurging out and trying to lie about what actually took place on this topic. Now that we’ve got that straight we can talk about underachieving players and players who’ve performed much better without McMahon than with which includes just about all of them.
none of this happened and unless you have quotes I don't care.
do you think chest should played more under beard?

Again if you’re just going to lie you can frick off. Tired of placating your pathetic dishonesty.

If McMahon was smart he would have his agent find a mid major landing spot and everyone wins

Basketball has very few big donors.....just the way it is....a much harder road.

Chest could rebound some, but he had no real basketball skills. Not debatable.

Mcmahon's system may be okay on offense but the defense and rebounding this year were abysmal. Here is a list of what he lacked.
1. Defensive schemes which could be adjusted both for different teams and also in game adjustments. How many times did we work hard for a score only to give up an open shot or easy layup on the other end?
2. I don't suppose it can be taught so we will chalk up to bad talent evaluation that our players universally had bad hands on rebounds and catching passes.
3. His rotations and timeouts were weird and inefficient.
4. He recruited talent that would work at the small college level but not in the SEC. Sutton was a perfect example. MVP of the Summit League. Can you even name a school in this league. Overpowered on defense and intimidated on short shots.
So his eye for talent was bad. They had flashes but little consistency. I will give the team credit for never quitting and playing hard but with the injuries and McMahon refusing to play anyone but six or seven players for the most part, they were tired by the end of games.

Sort of related, but I’ve always wanted them to make users’ posts invisible instead of banning them. That way they spend all that time posting and replying but nobody ever sees it
