I'd love it I'd he was like Cowherd. Instead it's a Jim Rome knockoff and the plugs are getting to be like Jimmy and Buddy. He still isn't that knowledgable and pretends to be an LSU expert since 1980.

If you have the iheartradio or TuneIn Radio App for your smartphone you should be able to still listen to Get The Hell Out Of Here Jordy & Buddy Infomercial as much as you want.

I do believe that 104.5 here locally has a contract to carry Cowherd a certain length of time. After that, they'll schedule around SVP because they just kill it. Best national show.

They'll probably split that threesome on Sports Today up somehow. Ponamsky has no real experience-and I'm sure he doesn't have the interest-running a show on his own so I'm not sure if it'd be better to pair him with Ott to temper his slightly more objective slant re: LSU (because Gordy & Guaranty aren't gonna bite the hand that feeds them with anti-LSU stuff that Ott can sometimes slant towards) or Hanny.

Either way Ott & Hanny have run shows on their own in the past. So wherever you put BBIBoy he'll be okay by me. The fact that he's juiced into the staff brings his value no matter what.

But if plugged Ott or Hanny into the slot after Mike & Mike you'd get a decent local flavor and on top of that you'd get rid of Cowherd's inane drivel at the same time. Resulting in a win/win for all involved locally.

From there, you still have a guy who can run a show on his own leading into Moscona or leading into SVP if you divvy up that 9-Noon slot somehow and pushed SVP all the way into the back of Moscona.

Does anybody know if 1590 am is still on the air? I haven't been able to pick up the signal even when Im close to Donaldsonville.

As for Mascona, I totally understand the hate he receives. He isn't kind to listeners who are not the most well spoken or who either share a different point of view than his own. IMo those are the biggest negs of AFR. Besides Matt being rude sometimes , the show is damn good for a locally produced show. Every other local show in town since I have been listening to BR talk (Late 90's) have seemed so "winged". They all have a feel that is way laid back and unformatted. You can tell that Mascona actually plans out his show for every segment. He actually has recurring segments that have sponsored lead ins which gives the show a professional feel unseen in BR sports talk. He also has great guest including tons of ex Tigers and National writers and TV people as well. All the other shows seem like discussions between people that for the most part are entertaining but never feels complete and sometimes tangent filled.

All in all I miss the hell out of 1210 during these last few weeks of the off season. Its like Meth for a local sports junkie
