Roster management is extremely questionable on the defensive line. Even if Mason was staying you needed to get another DT in the portal. Now we’re really screwed. Better hope a solid grad transfer pops up and we luck out in the spring portal which is never as loaded as the portal that just closed.

Bk crap the bed big time. He should have seen this coming and attacked the portal like other teams have done. I admire him for wanting to build the team with high schoolers but we we not ready to do that especially with DLine and the secondary. We are big time behind and there is no sugarcoating it. He is now gonna have to settle for 2nd tier talent from the portal just to field a DLine. He didn’t do anything in the last portal window for DLine. Spring portal is never as good.

He and House both crapped the bed when Lyndsey had his medical issue and they didn't immediately fill the position. I realize it was late in fall camp when it happened, but damn, bring in SOMEBODY instead of having coaches essentially pull double duty.
It really cost us in development this year and could be blamed for the root of the defensive shite show as those guys didn't rush the passer for shite and didn't tie up the O-lineman well enough to keep them off the linebackers. Now it is left to Baker to pick up the pieces, what is left of them.
