So, you are advocating firing Ensminger after this one game?

absolutely. If you think E doesn't need to be sent packing, you are clueless. And yes, O is pretty clueless.

things Ensminger couldn't do but an OC is supposed to do

1.install a decent offense
2. call plays on 3rd down
3. teach wrs how to catch passes
4. coordinate a passing game

Ensminger needed overwhelming help to run the offense last year. The entire point of being a coordinator is to be capable of being a coordinator without needing a babysitter.

Receivers were open all day and the pocket was plenty there to step up into.

We need a new quarterback.

Coach O has been recruiting since 2015

Disingenuous take. HC decides who gets offered and who to go after.

Even more disingenuous take. At a minimum, he's been recruiting since 2016, which is the better part of a full cycle. This team is the team he built, so he owns any deficiencies. He'd be the first to tell you that too.

We need to play to our strength which is running the ball right now. We have 3 very talented RBs and they need to carry us until Brennan and the WRs can get some experience under their belt. Clearly, Brennan is not ready and our receivers also struggled at times. On defense, Pelini needs to protect our young DBs by playing a zone of some time. Clearly, they need to work on their footwork and technique and that will hopefully come with time. We're a young team that hopefully will grow up real fast or it could be a long season!

[quote]That's a failure of player development. A fourth year QB should not look like Brennan looked on saturday.

Myles Brennan and Mac Jones are the same age and have equal talent. But only one of them looked like a veteran who's been preparing for 4 years to take over while the other looked like a pretty good freshman. That's coaching.[/quote

Almost totally agree with you, but it's not "all" coaching, as a Starting QB you need to be stronger mentally and "hold other players accountable. Coaches can't make a kid tougher mentally.

Sure he does but don’t act like that 2018’recruiting cycle was the same as every other year. EVERYONE (including you) was waiting for him to fail and it took a 10-3 year for him to gain momentum in recruiting.

The lack of depth in spots is 100% linked to having a shitty 2018 recruiting class. They should be the JRs that are leading this team and there are very few of them left on the team.

I’m more worried about our Defensive scheme.

Looks like O could have been blowing smoke saying that the offense would resemble last year's O.
I dont remember a single dump off to the backs??
