The sec is ridiculously hard to win games now over years passed.

LSU fans went from thinking 7/8 wins was a great season under Dinardo, to thinking 10 wins and playing in the SEC Championship was acceptable under Saban, to 11/12 wins and being in contention for a National Title with Les, then back to 10/11 with O, and now a 9/10 win season is seen as fantastic again.
It's almost like the talent at LSU and on other teams can change from year to year... yet you are amazed by this.

It's almost like LSU lowers the bar. LSU is the singular great college in Louisiana with one of the best recruiting bases in the nation. Since they've started winning and become a national players they've recruited in the Top 20 year after year. Lowering expectations to 8 or 9 wins is an embarrassment. Other teams have gotten better (Ole Miss) but others have gotten worse (Auburn/Florida) while some have remained strong for years (Alabama/Georgia)

Anyone thinking our defense got significantly better in 9 months while losing a heisman contender is not being realistic.
The Defense DID get significantly better in 9 months with the additions of Baker, Davis, Peoples, Jensen and Oneofus.

Even with the same athletes, Baker will have us in a sensible, more playable and attacking Defense that will be much improved if only for the fact that the athletes will be able to just play instinctive football without having to think too much.

Davis and Peoples coaching DL/DE will pay massive dividends even if the talent is not that much better.

The Offense will not miss a beat with Nussmeier, but it will be more centered around the RB's and WR's........

Yeah it’s very likely that our playoff chances will come down to the final game vs OU.

I was telling a friend ar church Sunday that, if both LSU and OU have good seasons, this is a good candidate for GameDay.
