There have only been 6 national champions who had a losing record the next season:

1967 - Michigan State (3-7)
1943 - Ohio State (3-6)
1839 - TCU (3-7)
1934 - Michigan (1-7)
1929 - Georgia Tech (3-6)
1913 - Penn State (2-6)

YEah I don't see us having a losing season. Plenty of wins still on the schedule. Just need to get better.

Or we have a new goal: win every remaining game.

Can't change the past.

Ya, but how many of those 6 Teams played a Pandemic Schedule.... no matter what happens in 2020, there will be an asterisk

Why is it such a crazy idea based on what we've seen?

I see 3 "pencil in wins" in Vandy, Mizzou, and Arkansas. The remaining 6 are at best pick 'ems.

I’m not ready to pencil in Missouri just yet.

I don’t know man, this isn’t a normal season. It is an all sec schedule, and we looked quite deficient in a game that no one predicted us to lose. 5 wins is looking like a tough task right now.

These aren’t pick ‘ems - Bama, Fla, Aggies, Auburn

We beat the three you penciled n and secure a .500 or winning season against Ole Miss and South Carolina (on paper, that is).

I wasn't really ready to either, but I also don't think there' anyway we play as poorly as we did Saturday all season. I certainly wouldn't put money on us not going .500, but to act like it's a forgone conclusion at this point is a little homerish to me with only SEC game son the schedule.

I'm not panicking because I refuse to believe the defense won't improve at all. Even with the crappy offensive product on the field Saturday, if we had a defense with a pulse we would have won that game easily.

Everyone needs to calm the frick down.

Well, at least we had one season of relief from our usual "catastrophe syndrome".
