Brady couldn't hit .500 with that team including Anthony Randolph.

nicholls state was the higher ranked team when LSU played them. I had looked at Sagarin at that time when your similarly afflicted pals on TD were mourning the loss as if they really thought LSU 'should' win. They used the word "should".

the embarrassment is that you and your pals dont know basketball.
and yes, men are sometimes chosen for basketball teams, just because they are 7 feet tall and strong.

Coastal Carolina was higher ranked, better and if you expected LSU to beat them because of the BCS uniform you are just a homer, with no clue.

You missed mentioning McNeese, which went down in OT to LSU.

Coastal Carolina went 28-5 last year

And NT won 24. Probably will reach or break that this year. All five of the teams that have beaten the Tigers, including Nichols, are favored to win their leagues this season fwiw. I heard a few people say prior to the season that the schedule was much tougher than it appeared because so many of the "mid-majors" the Tigers had scheduled were in upswings in their programs. That certainly has come to fruition. All five of those teams could be in the dance fwiw.

this, just because these schools aren't household names doesn't mean they aren't good teams.

you think maybe having tasmin mitchell on the sec championship team helped a little bit. mitchell did not play at all the year brady was fired. if mitchell plays brady would probably still be here. Marcus Thornton made TJ look like a genius

you really think this team is better, they had tasmin mitchell on the team last year and bo spencer who would be a superstar this year for this team. I am not sure how you can say this team is better, because of malcolm white. This board is arguing over nicholls state, coastal carolina and north texas state, are you kidding me. This is an LSU board. Its not like we are talking about getting beat by teams with a track record in basketball.

IMHO Randolp was a better talent than Taz without question.

But his effort was inconsistent and he played when he felt like it. He didn't play any defense, other than the occassional off-ball block, he was selfish and had terrible shot selection.

When he wanted to play he could be terrific. Unfortunately you never knew when he'd show up.

I thought Taz fit in nicely in his place in 2008-09 and was very integral us win the West going away. He could board about as well and could defend both 3's and 4's something Randolph did not do well.

Never had any inside scoop on that but have no trouble believing it.

His inconsistent effort has continued into the NBA by the way. Has a couple of great games then plays himself out of the lineup and has several DNP coaches decisions after that under both Nellie and D'antoni.
