We can not run the 1-3-1 Press defense

Always vulnerable to back cuts and when two player collaps they give up corner and wing 3s.
Keys to 1-3-1
-A defensive hound at Guard [X]
-Wings who can close out and know when to rotate [X]
-A lengthy space eater in the middle [X]
-Athletic center great at weakside help [X]
This defense is down right nasty if you have the pieces and we have none.
Last year it worked because Waters was a pest and you could place Bigby down low.

Actually, LSU has had a lot of success with it this year. But LSU just flat-out sucked tonight.

It doesn’t work because we don’t actually pressure the ball. It defeats the entire purpose if you let the ball handler look the defense over.

We cannot run a defense. WW commented a couple of weeks ago that other teams have figured LSU out. They have and LSU does not have the answers. The addition of a big man won't help right now. They seem to be playing confused and are constantly out of place.
