Gray was a turnover machine once again, why was he in so much at the end?? Why did Jones wait so long to put the starting 5 on the floor? Why the hell did we get so conservative in the last 5 minutes? It fricked us over. Attack them until the end, we had bonus plus for the last 5 minutes of the game, make that shite hurt them!!!

What the OP said can apply to every SEC loss this season.

Gray got LSU back in the game with the 3 at the end. Patterson kept taking awful shots is why he sat. Quaterman also had a late turnover. I agree we blew so many opportunities, but great hustle and effort.

Zero points in the final 4 minutes.

Mickey scored with 4:01 left - 69-66

Quarterman turnover
Mickey Turnover
Hornsby missed 3-pt
Turnover - Shot clock violation
Hornsby missed 3-pt

That's it. That is what LSU came up with to finish the game

I hate to say it but the X and O's of this game comes down to Johnny not having plays to score on those possesions

stepping out of bounds, terrible shot selection, rushing the play and no movement without the ball.

dropping down to the "last four in" with that loss.

M and M looked great.

Very good post, not to mention Patterson taking a lot of awful shots in the game. People putting all this loss on Gray is ridiculous. The rantards gonna rantard.

The team got them one shot from winning, and the team lost them the game.

1 turnover = turnover machine? Because according to the espn game log, all he had was 1 turnover.

Once again, every little thing Gray does is under a microscope while the other players mistakes are overlooked. And half the time people make up turnovers for him.

TQ was 1/6 with 3 TOs. And Patterson had some bad shot selections. Gray played good D on the perimeter and made a big shot for us late in the game.

I know you hate gray man but he only had 1 TO. He nor anyone deserves to be flamed for this game.

We didn't really do much different down the stretch than we usually do. We just notice it more down the stretch. The truth is this team has no offensive strategy. Literally none. The whole offense is based on standing around and waiting for someone to do something (either drive to the basket or throw up a 18-20 footer), then maybe get an offensive rebound. That's it. That's the whole strategy. It doesn't work very often, but it has the virtue of not taking a long time, so we keep a good pace, get some points in transition and score points anyway. But in any situation when every possession counts, its failure is exposed.

There's not a junior high school team in the country that doesn't have at least one offensive set that they run when they need to get a good shot on a possession. There's not a junior high school team in the country that doesn't have at least one inbounds play that is designed to spring someone for a decent shot. But there's a college team that doesn't have either. Unfortunately, it's LSU.
