they just showed highlights of St. John's vs. UConn on ESPN2. There were probably less than 1000 people there. And that's being generous.

ETA: you can hear the traffic on the road that's probably over 200 feet away from the outfield fence.

Gotcha. I agree with that.

I actually hope we get sent to Norman and beat the living crap out of the Sooners. It's always nice to embarrass the Big XII and show how weak they are this year.

I don't think it's a joke. I think they deserve it. I say let the game get exposed.

I don't thiink it would be fair to give us a host just because we pack the stands. I'd love it, but let's be objective. Remember, we were the 8th place team in '06 and went NOWHERE. And I BITCHED.

I'm glad you realize what UL means.....that would be Louisville, and NOT U-lala, in case some were somehow wondering from your title.

I made the trip to Norman last year. Had a great time.

When we finally got around to playing Oklahoma, it was probably 60% Oklahoma fans and 40% Arkansas fans in the stadium. Not many Sooner fans showed up at all. The stadium isn't that great.

AWESOME! Lafayette will get some tourist $$$ while will help the local economy. Also, the cajun hospitality will hopefully shine through, making the out of towners want to come back. Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

How did UL get to host and LSU didn't??????

The problem with conventional wisdom and just looking at records is this: If you ask every school that is hosting if they want a team that started the year 32-6, and won the SEC tourney going 4-0, none of them would say sure, that sounds fair. Then add the fact that it's the defending national champion, that lost very little from last year.

It will be TCU...DFW has a huge LSU pop...and would make an unsexy name like TCU...a very intriguing regional!
