The fact that Miles has coached this team to 8-9 years of winning/top ranked football already proves he deserves to coach LSU's football team. Why do our fans insist on focusing so much and tearing Les a new arse over the big losses, and not giving him any credit whatsoever for the countless big wins he has?

Traditionally a role Les has steped up in i.e. Arkansas 2009, Florida 2010, Peach Bowl 2008.

Only time I can recall him crapping his pants in this situation was the dreadful 2008 loss to Ole Piss. That was horrible.

But this game is big for Les. Big difference between 3-4 losses perception-wise.

3 losses and you still have the possiblity of winning 10 games which seems to be a symbolic bench mark for many and something Les can hang his hat on, finishing "at the back end".

What, for example, happened at the Sugar Bowl (I think I'm right)? Rumor was a big conflict within the team just before the game. If memory serves Jordan Jefferson was involved. The rumors were never substantiated and nothing else was said.

I was at the Clemson pep rally and game. It was abundantly clear neither the fans nor the team wanted to be there. I almost went home after the pep rally it was so depressing.

Then I wondered at the time then dismissed the idea that last year's defections to the pros was the result of something within the team. Let's face it, the number was unheard of, whether the team - any team - was good or bad. I pray that I'm wrong.

Im a little confused here. Are u saying we have more talent overall and thus should win because of depth? or are u saying our starting 22 is way more talented than theirs?

I like LSU's chances against A&M but this is a very good offense and the best QB this weak defense has faced all year. Looks like a mismatch on that side of the ball talent wise to me.

Tigers will play hard on defense and Miles will have them ready to play mentally at the start of the game. But they may still get completely overwhelmed and lay down. I think the post should be we will find out about these Tigers(players)not the coach in the next game.

Bcs nc game against bama was the biggest game in lsu history , it would have bn first time ever lsu would win 13 games in a season. Play calling was terrible, game plan was nothing, no adjustments made during game , players later said coaches were sending in plays they haven't even practiced. Miles and his whole staff should have bn fired the next day .

Is this true?

agree with your post

BCSNCG against Bama was biggest game in Miles' coaching history and he laid a fricking egg in the middle of the superdome for the entire country to see.

I'd say the odds are good that the TAMU D plays better than the LSU D

I don't think so, LSU's D actually played pretty damn good in the 1st half of Bama. Look there is no doubt JFF is going put points up on the board, but so is the LSU offense. I just feel LSU's D is going to play better than A&M's. Guess we will find out next weekend.

He has done well, but that is the key "HAS" past tense. He does get some leeway this will be the 2nd yr that LSU will not have won the West, played for SEC and NC titles. So he is getting a pass because of what he has done in the first 6 yrs. But next yr he has to either win the West, a SEC or NC title, if he doesn't than there is a problem. We don't want to turn into M.Brown/Texas of the SEC do we? Hell fricking NO!!!

He is getting paid way to much to be coming in 4th in the West. I am sorry but if that happens he is not doing his job. When you don't do your job there are consequences, it is that simple.

yep. But we have idiots here who think he is great at performance, preparation, discipline, management and they think he never craps the bed when he has done it basically every year against a team he should have beaten.

Yes I do believe we have the more talented starting 22 and more talent in depth total. I stated in the previous post on this thread, they obviously have the best player on the field JFF, but Mett isn't that far behind. Their next best player is Evans, but our receivers as a whole are better than theirs IMO. So I do think we have the better starting 22 and more depth. That should along with home field propel us to a victory if, and that is a big IF, Miles has the team prepared and ready to play for 60mins, not 30mins.

Fixed.

Nobody gives a shite about the money you've "pumped into the program." Every time you've bought a ticket, you've seen a game. Every time you've paid for a shirt, you've received a shirt. LSU owes you nothing. When you go to LSU football games, you are a guest. You are welcome. Enjoy yourself, or frick off.

Not really. The freak Manziel almost singlehandedly determines every game. If he doesn't turn it over, Aggies always win. If he does turn it over, Aggies still win----unless he's playing Saban, Miles, Muschamp, or Malzahn, in which case it's a razor-close loss.

Manziel put up 350 yards personally on Saban last year. Then Saban prepared for him for a year, then Manziel put up 570 yards personally on Saban this year----but threw two picks. The guy is a freak.

The outcome will have little to do with Miles and a whole lot to do with the living legend Johnny Football.
