Yes, this kid is a remarkable talent, about as smooth and technically sound a CB as I ever seen at that young a age imo. He's even better than the Surtain kid that Bama stole from us with their pony show. This kid (Stingley) oozes talent, but he never gets out of control and is always making plays. I can't wait to watch him, he could be LSU's best CB ever.

And please before anyone gets butt hurt over him hoping Stingley is better than PP7 or TM7 , the only way that can happen is if he becomes the greatest CB short of Deon Sanders in college.

If he is even in the top 3 to play CB at LSU, then it means he is one of the best to play position in the college game in the last 25+ years.
Legitimate case can be made for PP and TM being the best to step on the field during that period. Once you consider what they did at the next level you only have guys like Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey that enter the conversation.
Stingley looks pretty damn polished. His Dunham film can be misleading because of the quality of competition but his film without pads doing footwork drills is immaculate.

Until he proves it on an NFL level the answer will always be Ed Reed.

We all know why he isn't on 247 at least.
It’s ESPN who’s pulling his composite down

No
Mathieu was headed to Louisiana Tech...but numbers caught up with LSU and was left with an opening the morning of signing day.
LSU made the call and ended it then.

quote:Yeah this is bullshite, Stingley domjnanted the Opening. He and Dax Hill were by far the best DB prospects there and Stingley won wayyyyyy more against top talent than he lost.
Stingley is bigger a better than everyone he has played against in high school. But I also seen him get abused by top wide receiver Theo Wease who is committed to Oklahoma.

quote:Theo is a 5* WR. The fact that you don’t know who he is hurts your credibility on this subject. Not more then when you called out Devin White but still.
I have not “seen him” getting beat by Theo Whomever, but I’ll take your word on it.
quote:I specifically remeber AJ Green having 100 yds and a TD vs PP7 in 09. Don’t act like PP7 was a god that never had an off day. He was a physically superior athlete with incredible technique and he honed his craft into a perfection but he’s a human.
And I’ll point out that PP7 would have dominated Mr. Whomever just as he dominated Julio Jones and every other motherfricker he ever faced in college.
Stingley has PP7 Athletic ability. His grsndfether played in the NFL, his father in the MLB. His father is a DB coach. Stingley is the most “sure thing” prospect to sign with LSU since Leonard Fournette. Barring injury- If he’s not a 1st rounder, I’ll kiss my own arse.

Stingley and Ricks both seem like high character dudes as well.

Isn’t Ed Reed, the greatest safety of all time, from Louisiana?
