Does anyone know who the lady was that sang the national anthem tonight at the wbb game? It was outstanding. I had goosebumps!

I assume this wasn't shown on the TV broadcast? I don't remember it. I would like to hear it now though.

I was at the game, so I don’t know if it was broadcast. I doubt it.

Yeah, I don't think they played it on TV. I'm trying to search online for you, but I can't seem to find any clips of it posted anywhere.

Thanks beauchristopher! Appreciate you taking the time. If I find out, I’ll let you know. I may email Renee at the wbb office.

I wonder if Scarborough would have film of it.

What did the girl look like? Age, hair color, etc?

I found this one from the A&M game.

Here is her youtube channel.

Could this be the same person?

That’s not her. She was black, had reddish brown looking shoulder length hair. She wasn’t young, but not old either- I know - that part isn’t helpful. LOL I’ve never been good at guessing people’s ages. Now I KNOW this wasn’t her, but they named her again afterward, and it almost sounded like Mavis Staples, so maybe a similar sounding first or last name.

She was incredible. One of the best I’ve ever heard.

That’s Kelly Stone. She graduated from Central High.

Absolutely correct. I thought I was going to hate it at the beginning because she sang it slower than normal. But her voice more than made up for that small criticism.

Is Kelly Stone the one who sang at the game in question, Arkansas, or the person the other poster provided links to? I’m sorry to ask, but I can’t find anything on a Kelly Stone. Thanks in advance!

I would think they have an SID for women's basketball who could easily get you the information.

Kelly is who was posted above at the Aggie game, not who OP was asking about. Kelly sings for several different LSU sports.

That is awesome. You did great. Do you know who sang for the Arkansas game? Or who we could contact to find out?
