Number 31

His QB rating is high because he rarely throws the ball downfield, gets the benefit of short passes behind the LOS being turned into long gains, and never takes chances over the middle. If he had 240 pass attempts and wasn't completing almost half of his passes to rb's, fb's, and tight ends that stat would mean something. But in this case it's highly misleading and you know it. Our pass offense is ranked 74th in the country.

It's like comparing the shooting percentage of a guard that only shoots threes vs a center who only shoots layups. Also have you admitted that you completely made up this bold faced lie yet?

Rewatch the final drive. The clock never stopped on first downs and runs OOB. He was cheated out of 40 seconds and still was a tenth of a second from throwing the gsme winning pass, which was an amazing throw, FWIW.

I like etling I just feel like sometimes he's too safe especially early in the game if he's getting alot of pressure. Seems he throws it away or takes off too soon..it's nice to not have to worry about ints though. All the people wanting Brennan need to realize , he's thrown more picks this year then Danny has and has thrown waaaayy less, obviously.i like Danny but I just hope he takes some chances next weekend cuz he's not gonna have a ton of time to find wide open receivers..I hope we try more timing routes

Etling is a tough kid but he’s abysmal.

you obviously don't know what abysmal means. I have seen abysmal and Etling ain't it. harris was abysmal, Jennings was abysmal, etc.

Etling gets the job done. for years we have been seeking that very type of qb and now that we have one some people shat on him. no, he's not brett favre or johnny unitas but hes not abysmal

In 2014 over 11 full games played as a true sophomore Anthony Jennings threw for 1,516 yards, 11 td's and 7 ints

In 2015 over 12 games as a true sophomore Brandon Harris threw for 2,165 yards, 13 td's and 6 ints

In 2016 over 11 games as a 4th year junior Danny Etling threw for 2,123 yards, 11 td's and 5 ints

He may not be Heisman caliber
he couldn't start at Purdue

Etling is tough because he can take a hit. I'd rather a quarterback that a defensive coordinator actually has to game plan for.

They showed some vintage Les Miles toss dive footage, since Stanford seems to be the only team that does it too.

I've been reading the rant for a long time. If I see a post by you, almost 100% it will be attacking a coach, player, or the Lsu program in general. You sir are a troll.

He won't reply or acknowledge any of it though.

"Hey guys I know abysmal and abysmal is Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings. Definitely not Danny Etling"

Well grandpa here is evidence that both of those qb's who by your own admission are terrible, had strikingly similar seasons at LSU to the qb you don't think is terrible. One of them threw for more touchdowns in a season that Etling did while the other threw for more yards than Etling did. Facts hate feelings so much

Lmao you are actually counting yards and or TDs. That's fkn hilarious. So by your logic, a team that throws it 50 times a game will always have a better qb than a run oriented team's qb. Sound logic.

Question 1 Are you a madking alter?

Question 2 Is it a good thing for a quarterback to generate a lot of yards and a lot of touchdowns as compared to other quarterbacks who played in the exact same system?

Question 3 LSUgrandad said Jennings and Harris were abysmal and Etling was not. I just listed stats showing that they are all 3 very similar. Who said anything about passing 50 times a game?
