Clearly gypped by the refs. Screwing LSU longstanding officiating tradition (bogus face mask vs Usc 1979) continuing today with replays judged by SEC committee reviewing the ruling on the field from the bar at the Birmingham Country Club.

When LSU beat Tenn In 2001 SECCG I recall Ryan Perriloux was our QB and I thought we would run the table the next year. I didn't consult the GOOG but I think I have that right? The fog, the sands of time etc. Did he come off the bench?

Mac's defense would usually come correct, baw.

That 1959 team (that did NOT win the NC, but did almost as good by preventing Ole Miss from winning one) - you're watching Tennessee - so we gave up 14 points to Tennessee and 21 to Ole fricking Miss (in a rematch from the legendary Halloween game) in the Sugar Bowl - in the other NINE games (including the best Ole Miss team in a generation in the regular season, maybe the best Ole Miss team ever) we played that year, we gave up exactly 5 field goals.

Let me correct myself. It was a two point conversion, not a 4th down play.

One thing is for sure this game rested on Rabb and Harris the kicker. Both had a bad day.

The exchange was between Cannon and Durel Matherne. Rabb had been injured earlier in the game. Matherne wasn't really used to playing with Cannon, and the fumble was primarily a result of Cannon's initial burst off the ball catching him off guard. The sad thing is, if the exchange had occurred cleanly, Cannon probably would have waltzed into the end zone almost untouched.

Unanimous decision in agreement. LSU refuses to stop it from reoccurring annually.
