Checks down well for a freshman. Doesn't seem to panic. Not many incidents of "happy feet". Has good wheels similar to Etling. Definitely not a Mett statue. Velocity and spin is very nice. Harris like velocity. Should've had one extra pick. Also should've had a beautiful post to Sullivan. Terrific throw. The whole video moves at a faster pace than with Etling. I don't see any reason Ensminger won't throw more between the hash. I think a drastic improvement in passing IF he becomes the guy.

Should have started the last 4 games last year after Bama. I bet you'd see many anti O's more excited with a semi experienced QB coming back over one who has zero experience in order to start a 5th year senior QB who had reached his ceiling already.

Brennan and Narcisse should have split reps after Troy. Season was lost after that

Who is this QB with zero experience? Narcisse? Brennan played a lot of minutes against Troy with the game in the balance. If we played Etling instead we probably beat Troy.

I thought Brennan should've started after Bama as well. Fans would feel a lot better about next season if Brennan would've got those game reps. 9 wins would've had a better taste if it was Brennan, rather than going with Etling with the same wins.

I don't think Brennan could have gotten 9 wins, Etling was obviously the better QB last year in terms of on the field play

that's dumb. After bama, yes, but not Troy. That victory over Auburn was huuuuge.

The only possible reason to want them to takeover after Troy is if you want that to get O fired.

What did we gain starting Etling the rest of the year? A loss in the citrus bowl

Brennan and Narcisse getting experience far outweighs a bowl loss.

Idiot

I'm not talking about for the whole season, I'm talking about after the bama game. Arkansas, Tennessee and A&M with A&M being the only toss up game. For what they asked Etling to do against Arkansas and Tennessee, Brennan could've done the same thing.

LSU was down 17-0 to Troy before Brennan entered the game. The kid actually jump started the offense.

When I first saw MB in action at the spring scrimmage the Gridiron club was allowed to watch, i was very impressed, especially since he had only been practicing for a couple of weeks with the team at that point. He seemed to know the playbook as well or better than anyone else, often directing and getting others in the right place pre-snap. Showed a very strong arm and very quick release. He made a couple of mistakes, but showed a ton of promise.

On one play in particular, after getting to the red zone, his pocket started to break down, he bought some time sliding to his right away from the pressure without taking his eyes from downfield. The WR’s quit on their routes and were just standing there, MB was waving his hand at one of the WR’s, trying to get him to break for the goaline, and there wasn’t anything to stop him from scoring if he had done so. Instead MB had to tuck it and gained a couple of yards but it could have been an easy TD. That play came to mind when some posted that Canada wanted to play MB all along. I love Etling and his guts, and he was the safer option, but Brennan had much greater upside. We were unlikely to win any championships last year, so why not go for the upside? I think that
is what Canada was thinking, and I told my buddy the same thing going home from that scrimmage.

Now I don’t really care who wins the starting QB job, other than I want the guy who gives our Tigers the best chance of being successful. Don’t know a lot about LN since he was hurt a lot the latter part of his HS career, but when it comes to passing ability he will have to go some to beat MB. But no matter who wins it, we are going to have a tough row to hoe this coming season.
