thats what they are saying, since we fixed the oline then lee would do better than 97 yards a game. yes we know that he threw pick 6s but hes older now, has had more practice, and has a stout defense behind him

Okay then why do you believe he is the backup and not the starter then? Is it because there is a coaching conspiracy to keep him off the field and destroy his career?

because he is an athlete playing the position of quarterback and not a quarterback in the truer meaning of the word....he has yet to develop the ability to scan the field as one might expect from a quarterback and am unsure if he will ever have that skill

Wrong. Even with all of JL's INTs we still averaged more points than we have with JJ's pedestrian passing stats. I have an 8 year old cousin that could out pass and out read JJ (in the classroom and on the field).

You're an idiot. JL kills you with the TOs.

that was the JL of 2 years ago, give the kid a break, we don't know what he can do now because Miles is stuck on Jordan.

Then why is JL not the starter? Is he too stupid too to teach those skills to?

Right it must be some sort of sinister conspiracy by the coaching staff to undermine JL's football career.

Did we or did we not score more points when JL was the starting QB?

2008 ...30.9 points/game
2009....24.8 points/game

I guess we aren't adding a -7 for each pick six?

no ones trying to undermine anything, idiot, I'm sayin the kid hasn't got the chance to get back on the field since Jefferson took over except for mop up duty!

as long as Jefferson wins no matter how ugly it is, he will continue to start because that's just how Miles operates.

Some QB's are not capable of scanning the field. They lack the confidence and panic if they try.

He had a chance to blow the doors off the QB competition last year against La. Tech. He was baaaaaaaaaaaaad. The offense as a whole was too but Lee was as off as I've ever seen a QB. Think Jefferson vs. Vandy bad.

Unfortunately this. I really wanted Lee to get a look against MSU just to see. That's not going to happen unless Jefferson gets hurt. Miles has made that decision very clear.

I'm not sure if you can really teach those skills as such...some are point guards while others play off guard position...it is the ability to see the field in such a manner where the game 'slows down'...has nothing to do with stupid but innate abilty

Jefferson does need to get better with this. This is the same problem JLee has. I rather Jefferson run with it than force it to the receiver. Lee two years ago would come out of the huddle with 1 receiver in mind and he would throw it at him regardless. One of his pick 6's (against Auburn) was on a swing pass to running back who was his primary receiver on the play. I rather have Jefferson run if the 1 receiver is not open than force it to him.

These guys are both juniors and shouldn't be having this problem anyway.

what? because Jefferson got hurt, you need more time then one game man, especially when your cold and haven't been in the trenches in awhile.

Oh really moron, what was he doing stinking it up in the Bama game and the La Tech game last season?

Yeah right, it’s because there must be some sort of sinister coaching conspiracy to destroy his career! Give me a break you loser!

Lee started that game and played most of the 2nd half @ Bama. Surely he could've been better with a week to prepare for one the worst defenses in the country with 6 starters out for the game.

I agree. Then why do you suppose his backup is not starting?

let's assume both are equally poor at passing...if so, #09 gets the nod because he is more mobile than #12 and more of the simplified Offense can be run
